Carbon Gray or Royal Blue?

Well I've reached a deal with a dealership in Atlanta for a 2007 TSX Auto w/Navigation. Now I just need to decide between Carbon Gray or Royal Blue. Honestly I'm not sure which I like the best. Opinions/Reasoning?

Even though my car is CGP and love it, I would have to go with RBP because it just stands out =]

I had the RBP on my '05 Accord and when it was clean, it was a beeeeaaaauuuty! However, after 3 or 4 days, the car would look like it went through a mud pile! So I went with the CGP for my '06 TSX. Much better at hiding dirt! In all honesty, though ... RBP makes the TSX look more luxurious while the CGP says "sport luxury".

when i buy a car i consider what the color will look like in five year after normal wear and tear. I think the carbon grey will still look good but the royal blue may not if it fades even slightly

My advice is Carbon Gray and here is my reasoning. The Royal Blue paint seems to be the softest paint Acura has ever used. I see more Royal Blue cars with chips all over the hood. The Carbon Gray seems to be a harder formula that is more resistant to chipping.

If you go with the Blue, get the clear bra before you drive off the lot. Either way they are both nice colors, I would have to agree with the post that the Blue is a bit more exclusive.

I was set to buy a CGP but decided on the RBP when I saw it, simply because there are entirely too many CGP. I see them everywhere -- it's insane.

Carbon Grey. It's not awe-inspiring but it's the classiest color and keeps me happy checking out my car every day. The blue looks boy racer to me.

Both colors are super! But you will enjoy the car 100 times more with a 6 speed manual tranny. Trust me. I traded my auto because I felt it lacked power. Bought the 6 mt and it felt and ran like a totally differnt card. This car was made for a 6mt! Either way, "enjoy".

weird... I haven't seen any CG at all, but there are 2 Silver ones right at my gym and I see other colors daily. Although I have to admit I see more TLs then TSXs. Btw, what do you guys think is Silver or Carbon Grey that's more practical?

Ebony and Ebony. I just like black interiors for some reason. Plus, on my other car the black leather is fairly easy to keep looking new compared to my old Explorer's tan leather.

I would definitely get a manual normally, but I already have a MR2 Spyder. The TSX will be for mostly just commuting and trips. Drving in Atlanta traffic with a manual = No Fun.

I would suggest you go with the RBP (get a 3M protection)... CGPs are just everywhere.

I love CGP, very classy, I see too many Blue Subaru Impreza STI's anyway.

But for some reason, I'm a sucker for PWP color!

Royal Blue. Luxurious color to me.

My black TSX looks like crap after a few days since a wash, but it's really hard to get our silver metallic Camry dirty. We don't remember the last time we washed it!, and most of it still shines. I am really truly amazed by this.......

Still, I'd get the same thing over again.

i have cgp, and i think it's a better color. don't get me wrong because i think rbp does look luxurious, and it definitely stands out because there aren't that many on the road. i've always liked dark blue cars. at the time of my purchase, rbp wasn't an option.

but i love cgp. i love how it looks subtle, yet sporty. it is probably the most common tsx color. but it's still different than other grey cars. and i love how the blueish hue to the cgp.

bottom line, you can't go wrong with either color.

I think you better get a revote.

Unless you are confusing the colors or the Voters are.

Artic Blue Pearl (ABP) is the bright blue

Royal Blue Pearl (RBP) is the dark blue color avail since '06

and we all know what CG is

And i vote CG. easy to keep clean, and when dirty....looks clean

Question Grey or Blue

I think the blue would be outstanding, but my personal preference would have to be BHP, yes, it does show up even dust but it is so beautiful when it is clean & shiny.

Also, I truly believe that Black looks more like what our TSXs are, a Luxury
Sports Sedan. My

Whatever you get, enjoy her!

Go with the Royal blue as they are less common and its a nice striking color. Thats not to say I don't like the GCP as thats the color I have on my 06, But you see way too many of them.

Of course Carbon Grey

There is a reason for so many TSX's in Carbon Grey. The TSX simply looks great in this color.

I originally wanted RBP, but CGP was my 2nd choice. I snatched up a CGP when I found a 6mt/navi at a dealer that was willing to negotiate. I originally searched for a RBP but found it was hard to come by. I then went to the dealership expecting to get a black one, but then I saw pictures of how hard it was to keep a black tsx, so I made CGP my 2nd color when I started visiting the dealers.

But then again.. CGP's not easy to keep clean either

but absolutely breathtaking when clean.

The reason for so many TSX's in Carbon Grey is because it's been offered since the introduction of the model and it's always been a much more widely available colour. That and it's one of the 'standard' colours of white/black/grey.

Either colour is great. I was originally going to get a CGP (GP in Canada), but the dealer only had a RBP 6MT on the lot and I fell in love. No regrets! I'm still the only RBP I've seen driving around town.

I also think the reason for so many CGP TSXs is that gray is a very popular color for cars today.

If you remember years back when the minivan phase was in full swing, that green color seen on so many Dodge Caravans and the like was very popular. Then, it seemed silver was the popular color. Now, I think there are a few popular colors, but gray is definitely one of them.

yea grey has been a very popular color the past several years. overall, i think i see more silver cars than any other, though. but i see many many different cars and models in their own variation of grey, and they all look great. such as lexus' grey (i think they have several different grey/metallic).

my RBP looks fine when dirty. I love it. Parchment interior is classy, not a huge fan of the black interior, although it is what i originally wanted.

i wonder if this is true, because i do have a few chips, and can't really determine if it's our fault, or the car's fault. but then again, my coworker has an mdx in a greenish color, and he has similar kinds of chips on his.
