I've been searching for CF hood for my 06.

my only concern was that, as we all know, 04~05 hood and 06 hood are different.

specifically, the front end where the grill is, 04-05 has a top grill piece attached to the hood, whereas the 06 + hoods are just the hood itself.

I know that there's 06 + PWP with CF hood and the 06 + blue TSX with CF hood,

How was the installation done?

I contacted VIS cf hood company directly, they said that the hood is for 03 to 07, directly replacing the OEM hood.

Also, they said hood pins are recommanded to use, but i know people usually don't use pins, and just use OEM hitch to close and open the hood. any idea about this?

Just a couple bolts on the hood hinges. You and another person can do it quite easy.

They are direct replacement but its going to require some work to fit it right. Mine wasn't from VIS but yeah, had to play with hitch and bolts to fit the hood property. I'm currently running without any hood pins and never had a problem.

pretty much...oem hood weights about 40lb and my CF hood was 20lb so.
