Car starting issues
Hello Acura fam. In having an issue with my girls 06 Acura TSX. I went to start it in the middle of a warm California day. She would turn over but only after I gave her gas. Then once I would let off the gas she would die. I figured it was a fouled plug so bought NGK iridiums. Changed them out and still the same thing? When she does turn over after pumping the gas pedal, its a struggle and really rough. It also won't rev past 1500 RPM when giving it gas. It refuses to stay on so I can't take it to the dealership or mechanic shop. The CEL doesn't stay on either, so I don't think it's putting out codes. When I first turn on the car too I do hear the fuel pump. We also smell gas after attempting to start it. Car has 155k miles on it. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate it. Has anyone else ever had this problem? The battery and alternator are about 3 months old. I'm really hoping I can fix it myself and not pay to have it towed to Acura or a mechanic. It feels like something is restricting the engine from its power. Thanks in advance for all the advice

Shop manual advises that for hard starts w/ no DTC's to check following:
1) Test the battery (if turning over good, this is unlikely the probem).
2) Check fuel pressure (low fuel pressure will cause hard starts)
3) Clean the throttle body (no air getting by dirty throttle plate).
comments in parens are mine.
When I cleaned my throttle body, I turned keyswitch On and pushed throttle to full (helper) to open throttle plate for cleaning. I did not want to force throttle plate open for fear of damage, but I could not find any guidance on this issue.
good luck
