Hello,

i just recieved my Car and Driver Issue for Janurary 2007 and the 10 Best List and the Acura TSX did not make the list this year!

10 Best for 2007:
BMW 3-Series (SHOCKER!!!!!!)
Honda Accord
Mazda Miata
Chevy Covrette
Mazda 3
VW GTI
Chrysler 300
Infiniti G35
Honda FIT
Porsche Boxster/Cayman

 

It's already been posted. 3 years on the list isn't anything to be ashamed of, however.

 

3 years without any major updates too! i'm sure when it is refreshed it will make the list again

 

3 years is a great run for a car that remained basically unchanged. I'm glad I saved my "10 Best" window sticker. I'll put it back on if I ever sell it.

 

Have to agree 100%. In a segment where new, powerful, sporty, and content-laden models have come from every direction (except, maybe, Detroit), the TSX being named Top 10 for three years despite not being fastest, blingy-est, skid-pad-est, most powerful, shortest braking, or really anything-else-est (except, perhaps, cheapest) has surprised me. Car magazine guys usually tire of the first-year charmer.

It's a testament to the TSX's attractiveness as a balanced, fun-to-drive, appealing car. I hope the next iteration has the same finesse, value, and joie de vivre of this car. Not just a turbocharged engine.

 

I still have that too. I think TSX earned respect with that.


So may I ask, which car took the award for the BEST SPORTS SEDAN?

My 10 Best sticker is still on the window.

 

All I care about is was it the best car in its class for my money at the time I bought it. In 05, nothing beat its mix of virtues.

While I still think that holds true today, a 3 year run on the ten best is pretty standard for Acuras.

Not bad for a car with a 5 year old design would you say, its got a minor face lift in 06. 9 years in a row on the list.

yes, the hatrick is awesome. what other cars can say they've done it?? very few i believe.

 

what really suprises me is that not one single lexus made it onto the list

 

^ can't say i'm surprised ... none of the lexus's i've driven inspire any type of driving excitement. that's not to say that the tsx is for the "thrill-seeker," but at least its fun to drive

 

i thought to get on the 10 best list a car had to have some significant new feature, new body, different engine tuning, new engine design, etc. i don't think tire pressure monitor counts as significant

 

It came on the car. Your dealer probably removed it when they sold you the car.

It's been on my car since day one.

 

Hmmm...if that is so, that means the TSX had not yet made it onto the "10 Best" list when I bought my car.

I bought my TSX June 2003

 

Lets be proud of our car.. I think the TSX being on the 10 best cars list for 3 years has set the standards pretty high in their segment... before that no other car gave you the power/handling and luxury factors the tsx did. Now after seeing the results and demand, they all have to provide the same standard our tsx have yet at a lower price.. i think that is pitiful.. let mazda/nissan/lexus/toyota etc, car makers price their cars at the same price and see if they do better.. I fear not.. the mazdaspeed 3 is a great example of that.. enough said.. the tsx will be back next year!

 

Just consider that the more popular TL model has never been on the list.

 

...nor an Audi, a Mercedes, or a Toyota.

 

All of last year's winners are automatically reinvited to defend their spot.

 

And if you flip through the mag you'll notice that the all new LS460L finished dead last in a comaprison test vs a Jag, 750iL, S550 and A8L. Not the start Lexus was hoping for I'm sure.

 

It never ceases to amaze me they pick that, that "chick car" Miata over the S2000.
