Can you make the gauge to not dim when turning on headlight?

I just got 06 TSX few days ago
I'm loving it so much
TSX has so much standard features, it makes my last car(RSX-S) look like pos.
anyway I dont know why they didn't put a control to change interior lighting brightness, often found even on domestic sht boxes.
I'm hoping there is a way to make the gauge not dim when turnning on the headlight at night cuz I prefer the brigter daytime gauge at night.
I also find lights on stero/AC units to be too dark, anyone else?

The gauge brightness is remembered seperatly for light on and lights off. If you turn the brightness to MAX it should not change any when you turn the lights on or off.

I dunno. How did you miss that? It's in the owner's manual.

I think that must be the setting that comes from the factory, as my tsx did the same. I had it for about a week before I drove at night. I was a bit perplexed when I first turned on the lights and could no longer see the audio and other displays. After overcoming my inherent blondness, I consulted the manual and found the gauge that adjusts the interior lighting. DOH!
