Buyer's remorse?
Well my 2006 CGP/Ebony comes in on Friday!
I am out of town in Atlanta doing some training for work and the whole drive down I kept my eye out for Acuras in anticipation in joining the family.
My 98 Altima met its end in a car wreck about 3 weeks ago so it forced my timetable up in buying a new car. (I was orginally going to wait until after winter or so)
Anyway during the time in between I have been driving a 2003 Honda Accord V6. I really enjoy the acceleration! Will I miss that with the i4? Does the drive-by-wire (or whatever that technology is) kind of emulate a v6?
Hehe, I have remorse and I haven't even taken delivery yet! But since all I have owned are 4 cylinders that I doubt I will even notice. Right??

If your looking for a car to race with, you bought the wrong car. As far as everything else, the TSX is a amazing vehicle with an amazing engine. Just not the most powerful car in the lot.

Oh really?
I remember back on my old 94 Alitma the accleration cable slipped from the bracket holding it.
So when I hit the gas the pedal fell to the floor without opening up the throttle. It was only because I was moving the cable (whilest my friend was looking at engine from the front of the car) did he notice the cable was lose.
Hmm well I wouldn't say I am doing a blind buy, but I think I will be pleasently surprised!

Where are you located? I ordered the car last week & my dealer (Upstate NY) just told me I'd have to wait until February/March for a CGP/Navi/AT.

You'll regret not getting it. The TSX is an awesome car, maybe not the fastest, but a great car. I regret selling mine. Having owned many cars, the 04 TSX and 99 Integra GSR are the only ones I wish I could get back.

When I first bought my 06 black on black At with Nav and had to wait for it I started feeling some remorse. I had an 01 civic in great shape with 47k miles and no car payment.
I was thinking maybe I should have waited, I already had a car I liked alot, and maybe I spent too much money for no real reason...then the TSX actually arrived and all my remorse went out the window. I love the car.
I'm not a super race dude or mod guy, I don't know alot about cars (raised by a single mom). I just wanted a nice car that I could afford that would convey the type of lifestyle I live to any young women that I might happen to take out.
Alright I got it to impress girls and so far it's worked and I'm shallow.
You might miss the power but you won't miss the girls. If you're married or something then at least you have a nice car that isn't owned by every other schmuck on your block like the accord is. The hands free thing is worth it alone in my opinion.

You are too anal. Nothing is ever going to be perfect, so you can forget about that. Just enjoy your TSX. It's as close to perfection as you are going to get, for the money, and you made the best choice!
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

I've had mine for nearly 2 years now and still have no remorse about purchasing this car. I've owned at least 12 new cars in the last 8 years and this is the only car that I have been very happy with for this long(and its not the most expensive by any means). I do wish I had navigation, but I am glad I didn't wait the additional 6 months I was told it would take to get my color/trans. combo with navigation - at which time I was not guarantied I would get the color I wanted any ways.
The TSX is not a race car, if you purchase one thinking its fast, you will be let down. If you want a well balanced, reliable daily driver that isn't painfully dull, then its the ticket in its class.

As for power, I agree, don't buy the car to drag race, but c'mon, how fast do you have to go? It is not slow! Although, I do drive the MT... Anyway, I agree, the torque is pretty good for a 4-cyl, but if you want to get the most out of the engine, you'll need to rev it up!

I think my case is the best testament to the attraction of the TSX. I started looking for a new car because I wanted to switch back to driving manual. Took my time and looked at a bunch of cars including the IS250, the Mazdaspeed6, and the new 2006 Accord. In the end, I still came back to the TSX because I liked its combination of driving dynamics, affordability, and practicality the most out of all the cars that I tested. On top of that, the new features like the HandsfreeLink were too good to pass up.
