Burning smell!

Hey guys!

I just picked up a 2007 Acura TSX yesterday, and today I used the heated seat for the first time. Anyway, once it heated up, I noticed almost like a burning smell. It was very faint, but unless I'm going crazy, I know that I smelled it. Anyway, I turned off the seat and inspected it, but I didn't see anything. So, I turned the seat back on, and didn't smell it again.

Do you have any idea what that may have been? What should I check? Is this a common problem with the TSX's?

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. Probably just something that got burned off. If it happens again I'd be worried.

Let everything heat up until the smell goes away. Then you shouldn't have any more smells after that.

Unless something got caught underneath, you should be fine. Just let it run until the smell goes away. It could be that the previous owner never used that feature. I know I avoid using it, even if it's really cold. Sitting on something warm just doesn't sit with me, personally.

Come to Canada and then you'll be forced to retract that statement.
