Congrats. The TL-S definately has more gadgets, better leather, etc. Be prepared for your gas mileage to be in the teens. While it's easy for me to say I prefer the 335i, the TL-S is tough to beat at around $35k.

Did you get it from Escondido Acura? I thought you pledged the G35s would be your TSX replacement?
No, DCH Acura of Temecula. Ha, I never pledged anything but more horses this time around And honestly, I didn't even cross shop. I was pretty smitten when the S came out, so I went for it. I've been pretty happy with Acura service at my dealer, so that was another plus for sticking with them. Also being a repeat customer gave me a little advantage in negotiation.

I'm not too worried about mileage, I've got a short drive to work. Strangely enough, I found that it drives faster then its really going, if that makes sense. For instance, I was going through a 45, which I normally do about 55-60, but it "felt" comfortable going 45. Weird...Maybe because its a bigger car?

Just won't be the same around here without you man. You'll have to come through and give some noobs a hard time from time to time. Anyway, nice ride man! I just hit 80K, I'm ridin' my TSX until the wheels fall off! Great choice though, keep us updated on the comparisons!

One of things I like about the TL over the TSX is the display above the vents is slightly more informative.

BTW, what RPM does the engine turn at 60mpg in 6th?
I hope the gear ratios are more friendly than the TSX's.

Gawd, everytime I see this thread, it make me want to jump the TSX ship. They seem to be giving pretty good deals at Acura dealerships now for the TL-S.

BTW, I'll be posting this weekend the parts I have for sale with pics and prices in the black market. I've got the following:

G-games 77W's (gunmetal) with Kumho SPT's (about 50% tread. This will be local pickup only.)
Tein Basic coilovers (with about 20K miles on them)
Comptech Sway Bar with Energy Suspension bushings
Injen CAI (polished)
Ultimate Pedals (full driver set for a 6MT)
SS Brake Lines (not sure of the make)
Blitzsafe HON/M-Link for Ipod (works with Navi, not sure if it works with XM, I dont think the model I have does.)

I think thats it. Please don't "dib" on anything now, wait till I make the post in the Black Market. Should be on Sunday...

Low 40's easy....

When you sell 300 to 400 nationwide per month prices tend to be good.

As much as I like the TL-S, I'm going RWD or AWD for my next ride.

Same here. If I were to stay in the Acura family, it would be the RL. However, there's a good chance we'll have an MDX sitting in the garage and having TWO Acuras might be too similar for me.

edit - never mind, Joe -- I saw your post about parting out your car.

Nice choice on the black on black . Since you're in Temecula .. make sure you go into the San Diego meets / events thread and see if you can make it on the 30th!

I actually just test drove a TL-S yesterday after getting a CRAZY low deal offered to me but i really don't feel like having a car payment seeing as how i will be paying the TSX off in like 2 months (i only owe like $4600). So i decided to keep the TSX but DAMN is that TL-S NICE!! It def feels heavier and handles like it but it still is an awesome car.....still have some doubt that i need to get over!!!

Gorgeous car, Joe.

Have fun over there at the TL boards, and try to resist bashing the TSX there like everyone else does.

YES. Its quite good. Good enough to the point where I dont have to dick with it With the sub it comes with, its just enough bass. Could use a little more highs, but its sufficient. I remember with the TSX saying "Oh this isnt going to work at all". I'm not feeling that with the TL-S' system...

I might upgrade the front door speakers...but if I do, they will be a pair of Focals. But in the mean time, stock works...

I think you guys have alot of us looking around now, me included.....even if its only because I'm bored at work. It isn't really the upgrades that got me looking, but the fact that you guys have both got pretty good deals for those upgrades.

There seem to be pretty good deals to be had since people are panicking about the mortgage fallout, and its the end of the model year for most cars.

I will too. If anything I'm going to upgrade my wife's minivan. That A5 though, is one beautiful car....

Still, just to indulge my wandering mind, I've found a couple of used Porsche 911s that are in my price range as well. And they do have a rear seat for kids.

I know that. My point was that I have no use for a coupe, and you both own sedans, sooooo think you can make that switch to a coupe? I sure couldnt.
