The correct thing to do would be maybe mention it and leave a link to it:

Rochester is like 4 hours from me I think (I'm in Westchester). Kind of a trip. We should do something closer to the city.

Gibson, who rarely checks the meet section

I think the idea is a sorta Central NY meet not a downstate NY meet. Not that downstaters couldn't come of course.

Ah, well that being said it would be up to the "meet organizer" to decide whether or not it's truely a "Rochester, NY" meet, or a Central, NY meet, or a Upstate, NY meet.

I suppose it might be a location in CNY that is less than 4 hours from Westchester if Gibson wants to come. Hehe.

2.5 hours on average (to Rochester that is -- minus one hour for Buffalo and plus 90 minutes to Syracuse). It's VERY dependent on traffic levels on the QEW & if there's any backup at the border.

Well if you guys get to buffalo its just one hour drive to rochester on the I 90. I do it all the time for paintball =)

We could rally up, if buffalo is easier for some of you canadians I could get whoever in rochester.

You could always do the Niagara Falls/newer Casino type deal too if ppl wanted. Just throwing out ideas.

There are all kinds of ppl in TO that could maybe come,....dunno if they will want to/can. I can get on the PM campaign or start leaving notes about a meet after every post I make,.........get a convoy coming down there maybe haha.

What are you guys thinking anyway,.............meet up, look at cars, dinner, maybe some kind of activity,........ type deal or something like that?

well i say that we start sending out pms to everyone and see if we can get a group of like 20 or more people together although it would still be just as fun if we only get 10.

I agree. I was prepared to drive down to London Ontario still when that whole meet fizzled out,..as long as 2 other ppl were going to show up LOL. Having 10 or 20 would be awesome. If I have to cross the border (assuming the meet is in Buffalo and not Niagara falls or somewhere else in Canada) I better start looking for my birth cirtificate,.....passport expired a while ago. I can start sending out PM's later tonight I guess,..I need an AZ break right now,......been on too much lately.

Perhaps you should see if you can change the title of the thread so ppl know its in Buffalo or where ever you guys are planning to have it now,.....mention TO in the title?

P.S. Dont let me look at your car (unless of course you store it for winter/the shows),....I might get ideas for modding (mine is still stock right now) when I actually have some money.

I am not sure how far Niagra Falls is from Rochester so I dont know how long the drive would be. Also would I need my passport to cross the border cause I dont have that or my birth cirtificate with me at school.

Cross into Canada: Unlikely. Usually just a drivers license works.

Cross into US: Birth Certificate or Passport. Don't take the chance with just the driver's license.

Really,.....an hour and 20 mins to get to Niagara from Rochester? I thought it was less than that (never driven that, so dont really know. I am trying to remember how long it takes from TO to the Falls,.....I think about 1.5hrs,...maybe a bit more depending on traffic.

I think the point that is trying to be made is that it is harder to get in/back into the US than it is to get in/back in to Canada. That has always how it has been in my experience,...but I have not been to the US in,....5 years anyway.

Given some moderate traffic I'd say 1.5 is right from TO to NF.

Exactly. Last time I went into Canada the customs guy didn't even ask for any identification! It's tougher coming into the US, though, even for US citizens! I always bring my passport, which makes travel much. much easier by car & air. (Passports will be a requirement for all US citizens to go into Canada in a couple years, anyway.)

I went during november, since im asian I was pounded with questions,
The person asked us why, where, how long, not to mention she got really mad at us when we only had our drivers license...

Shes like do you have proof of Citizenship... i'm like no I thought a drivers license could do... shes like no you need more. Then she was like next time please call canada if you are unsure about their laws....?????

LOL. One time on the way down to Florida years ago we had to park the car and go inside the building for a while. It was 3 friends and one of our fathers friends (who was heading down with us) in the car, all different ethnicities. I guess they were suspicious we were up to no good haha,...but we all had BC's/passports etc.

Oh sure, make the Canucks cross the border,.haha jks. I will see how many (if any) ppl want to come down from where I am,.start sending some PM's etc. Buffalo is kind of in the middle for everyone anyway right,.........unless there is a demand for some casino action or something at the falls.
