Brembo blanks rotors pics
Im at 60k with my 06 tsx and I cant stand the vibrations from braking at high speeds. I really dont want to resurface the oems. I feel like they'll warp again soon. I keep hearing that Brembos are the best but I also hear that they rust bad. Is it really that bad? Does anyone have pics of their rusty Brembo rotors? Any good alternatives?

Don't waste your money resurfacing the rotors, just get aftermarkets (I made that mistake).
take a look at Centric rotors, they're cheaper than brembos and have the coating on them to prevent rust. I have them on my tsx and they're great. SO much better than OEMs

I've got brembo's...the rust is starting...I wouldn't even have noticed if there weren't a million threads about it. The suggestion I've seen is masking and spraying the hubs in the hi-temp color of your choice. I love the brembos, in my case with Hawk Ceramic. Much less dust, good stopping power, no warpage (yet).

I've had them for around 1000 miles. I was running OEM rotors with Hawk HPSs. I went with the centric rotors and akebono super street pads. Got them all from placeforbrakes.com. Customer service is really helpful and the price was cheaper than tirerack

Yea, Brembo OEM replacements do rust. Aside from that, they do perform far better than OEM. I considered using high-temp black paint for the hubs and outer rotor diameter, but never got around to it. So far with 20K miles on them, no warping.

Just got my racingbrake rotors and brakes in the mail today. You can't beat their overall quality. They are painted or E-coated which ever one, I've seen my buddys TSX with them on after probably 2000 miles and there are no signs of rust. Just my $.02 Good luck with your purchase

Im interested in gettin new brakes too, like the op said, does anyone have pics of their brembos? I wanna see how bad this rust issue is, i wouldnt of known about it if it werent for the ton of threads i hear about them

i ordered the brembos and akebono pads. got a buddy that would put them on for $50. scared about the rust but i doubt it'll be that bad especially if you drive daily and dont let it sit for weeks at a time. i'll try to post pics if and when they rust.
thanks everyone for their input.

Yea it looks like crap but the performance is good, LOL.
And I can't really remember how much I paid but it was quite expensive compared to how much you guys would pay in the States since I live in Canada.

Just a thought...there are several rust convertor products out there that state that they stabilize the rust. I used one years ago and the rust stopped on that vehicle and the area treated turned from rust red to black...perhaps that's the answer. I know I never noticed my rusty rotors until I told myself to look...and I haven't noticed them again, so who knows.

Isn't the rust on the Brembo's similar to the OEMs? It doesn't look terribly bad from the pics that icemiko posted.
I'm tired of the shuttering on our 99 Accord's OEM ones and I replaced them about 30k miles ago.

I'm exactly a month away from the sixth anniversary of taking delivery
of my '04, and I just hit the 80,000-mile mark an hour ago. I've
still got the original front rotors, and they look much better,
rust-wise, than the Brembo blanks that have been on the rear of the car
for about four months. As I've said, if you really care
about your car's appearance, Brembo blanks aren't the right rotors to
buy. (I'll probably use one of the rust-converter products on the
Brembos in the next few weeks, then put paint on the surface it creates. Another
possibility is that I'll use a rust dissolver instead of, or in addition
to, the converter.)
