I use Marathon, Speedway or BP usually. Speedway is closest to my house, so it's usually what I end up getting.

is 89 too low for the tsx? the dealer told me 89 was the lowest i could put in the car.
i know a car performs better with the lowest gas you can put in it without having any pinging and knocking (which i dont).
next highest is 91.
thanks

arco 79 octane FTW! j/k.
I use 91 octane from exxon, mobil, chevron, 76, whatever is convenient and cheap. although i would not use arco. for some reason, people i know always make fun of arco's pseudo-gasoline. like, i heard they put additives in there to make it 87 octane, but without them it'd be lower or something. probably not true, but it is consistently the cheapest available, and i don't want to be so cheap on gas that i might potentially hurt my car. probably just being paranoid

The cheapest, no-name gas in the area...premium of course (Currently in Pensacola, FL that comes to $2.91/gal). The manual specifies octane rating....not fuel additive. It is a total waste to spend the extra $.10 - $.25/ gal to put "chevron with techtron" whatever its called, in your car. My 1996 RL went 250,000 miles with no-name gas and never once had an engine problem. BTW, i still get 35 miles/gal.

shell v power 93 octane only. I get 27-31 mpg with somewhat spirited driving- with good gas mileage gas price doesnt matter, but thats not the discussion here. How do you get 35 mpg, i might be able to, but no AC in louisiana is torture.

Unless I am reading the following from the Top Tier Web site incorrectly, 8 to 10% ethanol is required for a gasoline to be Top Tier.
"1.3.1.2 Base Fuel. The base fuel shall conform to ASTM D 4814 and shall contain commercial fuel grade ethanol conforming to ASTM D 4806. All gasoline blend stocks used to formulate the base fuel shall be representative of normal U.S. refinery operations and shall be derived from conversion units downstream of distillation. Butanes and pentanes are allowed for vapor pressure adjustment. The use of chemical streams is prohibited. The base fuel shall have the following specific properties after the addition of ethanol:
1. Contain enough denatured ethanol such that the actual ethanol content is no less than 8.0 and no more than 10.0 volume percent." http://www.toptiergas.com/deposit_control.html (I cut the other five specific properties because they were not relevant.)

Most anywhere that has premium gas, but usually Shell, BP, Citgo or Mobil. From newspaper articles I've read, very few gas stations buy from their own brand. They basically buy gas from whomever they choose to.

Check out the Top Tier web site at http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html.
This page has a list of retailers that sell top tier gasoline. Any of these brands is suitable for the TSX. Just remember to get premium--whatever octane that happens to be in your area.

My parents filled up the first tank after the dealership fill with 87
But I intend on using 91 octane from Shell / Texaco...only places I ever fill up at. For some reason my dad read that the manual recommended 91 but you can fill up at 87 or something.... I already searched and read it was okay to have 87 but not all the time....parents always mess up things....

WHATEVER IS CHEAPEST... CHICAGO GAS PRICES SUCK!!!
But usually Mobil or Marathon.... when I'm up at school in Madison I use Mobil or BP.
Does anyone ever put mid grade in their car? I hear it won't hurt the engine but you don't get as good of milage.

i got a question.. sometimes i go to this one mobil station to fill up and it seems that i get about 20-40 more miles as i usually do.. does the fuel burn longer because it's good or because it's cheap? or is this all just in my head? go figure..

I use Exxon 93. One possible answer to your question Tsx6363 is that the auto shutoff point/threshold might be slightly different at that station vs the others. Bad gas? Highly unlikely...you would notice bad gas by feeling a slight engine knock. Happened to my last car.
