bought HID's and....

Hey i just bought KAIXEN HID bulbs from Excelerate Performance, and on the site it said that the 5000k would look close to OEM, i got the bulbs today and in the box figure is pointed to the 5000k witch is correct but the figure color shows being kinda yellow and the 6000k looks white..did anyone buy this bulbs from him and are they white like oem or they just a little yellowish please help out..if so i would exchange them.

I have Kaixen 5000K bulbs, which I got from Excelerate. There's a tint of blue in the color, but definitely not yellow. I did run OEM new 4300K in one headlight vs Kaixen 5000K in the other for several days. Although the blue tint is nice, visible/usable light is best with stock. My gripe with Kaixen is the base of the bulb has 2 small plastic bits that attaches/screws into the ignitor. Those plastic bits are pathetic, and have broken off while attaching them into the ignitor; even placing them in gently. I've gone through 3 bulbs already. In one instance the ignitor fell off which resulted in some melting of the plastic ignitor attachment, the bulb base it was suppose to be on was toast, and having a flickering HID while on the fwy sure draws attention at night.

I'll go back to OEM when these Kaixen's are done.

I've been running 5000k bulbs from DDM for a few months now and they're great. NO yellow at all -- mine are pure white with a very very very slight hint of blue. I'd consider them as pure white as possible.
I noticed no drop in output to the road/shoulders, either, and I'm very keen on having perfect visibility in my vehicles.

Most HID's at 5k, shouldn't have yellow at all. I've always thought 35K = yellow, 43K = white & 60K = white/blue. You'd think it'd be white white a hint of blue rather than yellow.
