Bosch Windshield Wiper question.
Bosch Windshield Wiper question.
Hi Guys,
So, after ordering some PIAA Hybrid silicone wipers and discovering that the 16" passenger side wiper blade is too long, I decided to go with some Bosch ICONs. Anyway, they seem to fit and work fine, but I've noticed that the passenger side (16") tip of the blade is resting up against the rubber part of the window frame when it's its in the "off" position. Is this ok, or will this cause a lot of wear and tear on the rubber molding around the windshield frame?
Also, are there ANY blades that seem to fit and work perfectly besides the OEM blades?
Thanks!
Jeff

Awesome, I will get those next time I need new blades. In the interim, however, will the Bosch ICONS with the passenger side blade resting against the rubber molding along the window frame cause problems?
What year TSX do you have? I have an '05 and run Bosch microedge with no interference whatsoever. My brother-in-law has an '06 and and his wipers conflict with the windshield frame (although they aren't Bosch). I found this very odd.
Interesting... I have an 07 TSX with Navi. Mine actually bumps up against the rubber on the passenger side window frame. It doesn't look like it's causing any damage, and the ICON's seem to perform much better than the OEM blades, so I'm just going to leave it alone...
Take a good look at the stock RH wiper blade and notice the mounting point is not centered. That's why the aftermarket crap doesn't fit - because the mount point IS centered. Save your money on aftermarket and just get the Honda/Acura refills for about
$14. Works fine and lasts a long time.
