Bosch 26" and 16" Icon blade replacements price drop

Bosch 426A and 416A Icon wiper blades, which unless I'm sadly mistaken are the OEM equivalent replacements for the 1GEN TSX wiper blades, have had a price drop on Amazon (with super saver shipping, if you so desire). Just an FYI, not going to post my Amazon Associates-style links, just the product ASIN numbers: B000IYBJCQ, B000IYAAYO. Happy shopping.

Thanks for the info, those who haven't upgraded should definitely take advantage of this. I upgraded mine to bosch icons and haven't looked back.

3 left when I logged in...now 2 left after I ordered. We'll see if these are any better than oem. I hope their profile is low enough to keep the stealthy look

They usually get more in pretty quickly. I guess "in stock" matters if you use Amazon Prime like I do.

The 2007 manual explains how to remove the blade from 2006-2008 wipers and replace ... I haven't seen how I can pull the blade from the ICON that I received (416A), which is a blade AND wiper as one unit. Nice for 2004, 2005(?) model owners who have conventional wipers. I certainly HOPE these are the right parts (as per Bosch's site),....

WHOOPS, Bosch just told me that their ICON replacement wiper can NOT be disassembled to put their blade into the Acura wiper.

Thanks alot for doing the research afterwards ;-P I still have a bunch of oem refills here...but I'll try their wiper for the rainy season. The oems are great when new, but go bad quickly

Ahh, even though I ordered them yesterday, Amazon won't ship until Monday. I was able to cancel my order. I'd like to try an aftermarket wiper, but I want to keep the oem low-profile look. I'll wait until there's a refill replacement.

I didn't say I'd bought and used them, only that I saw the price drop. I got the first of them yesterday and started examining it this morning. FWIW, Amazon takes returns and provides a prepaid mailing label.

Research: ... I had ICONS in my Amazon cart for months after reading several threads here in which other TSXers claimed that ICONS were the equivalent for the TSX OEM, but better. Never occurred to me that, since the blades ARE removable on my 2006 wipers, they AREN'T on the Bosch retail product. (Actually, I probably COULD break them apart, but the Bosch support rep told me they're not supposed to be. I'm not going to pay $15 each to find out.)

The blades that the dealer put on my CPO have held up well for 12 months or more, so I'm wondering why others' OEM's don't. I keep the windscreen very clean, even between washings, so that rain beads up; the wiper blades have a pretty clean surface to swipe.
so you have to take the entire oem wiper off?
The ICON is a wiper which is very similar to the 2006+ TSX' OEM wiper. Should replace it fine.

yes, you remove the OEM wiper at the hook, u then install the Bosch by opening up the plastic "lid" sliding the hook through the lid, snapping into the U hook then closing the lid. it's very simple.

it does lose the low profile look, but i don't get any chatter like i did with the shitty OEM wipers i had. imo, the way the OEM's hook is on the side and not on top of the wiper, i believe results in the chatter since it's not applying direct pressure from the top but on the side.

to each his own, but like the Bosch Icon's. Just installed my ones from Amazon two days ago, smooth as a baby's behind.

The ICONs (416A, 426A) are very similar to the OEM wipers on 2006-2008 (well, at least my 2006), but with "caps" at the ends of the wiper. I think it's a "Fuji apples to Braeburn apples" comparison for the 2006 on wipers, but arguably an upgrade for 2004, 2005 TSX'. YMMV.

I think in a lot of threads, people are confusing "wiper" with "wiper blade" terms. The ICONs are a wiper replacement, and Bosch tech support told me I couldn't remove the wiper blade to use in my Acura wiper. Hope that's becoming clearer for the speed readers out there (not picking on anyone specific).
