Borrowed TSX

My mom just borrowed a 2006 TSX 5AT non nav from the guy who owns the Acura dealership (dunno how, somehow cutting his hair got her a huge in) while her Intrepid is broken down. I took this thing out, and I fell in love with the car. I like it a lot better than the TL for some reason. It had a great sound system, and the 06 felt a bit better than the 05 I drove last year around this time. Of course, WHEN I get one, yes, WHEN, it will be a 6MT w/nav. I just have to wait until I graduate in December. I'm totally stoked about it.

I'll be getting the A-Spec suspension and replacing the wheels with something else, and maybe some 40% tint on the back windows and 60% on the front, but that's about it.

I'm choosing a black exterior for sure, but I'm stuck on the choice of interior colour. In Canada we only get the option of Parchment or Ebony...

I know I keep talking about this every once in awhile, but as the months go by I get more and more excited. Surprisingly, even the automatic had enough forward thrust that it didn't leave me wanting. And the gas mileage was superb. If only the VTEC point was a little lower. 6200 seems pretty high.

The 06 felt more gutsy than the 05. I know they said that the hp increase was only from 200 to 206, but man it felt like more. I think that's because of the new rating system. My mom was actually talking of buying the car for herself. She asked me this morning how much she should ask for it. I told her $36k out the door would be a good price. I hope I'm right, since the thing stickers for $36 900.

And .

Her boss is actually really friendly with the guy since the lady owns the hair salon and it's right in the middle of the guy's dealership area.

If my mom buys this car, I'll be both excited and upset. Excited cause I'll get to drive it sometimes, but upset because she'll get the 5AT and it won't be my car, and I still have to wait at least 9 months...damnit!

I thought you guys had a choice of Camel as well (which is what I would choose if it was available). Sorry if I wasn't perfectly correct.

There's only one beige interior (parchment) for TSXs. Also black (ebony) and light grey (quartz). CDNs lose some color combinations but not very many I think.

We don't get quartz here. It's ebony or parchment. That's it.

The guy actually owns the entire set of dealerships around there, Mayfield Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Honda, Saturn/Isuzu, Bavria BMW, West Side Acura, and a couple others.

Interesting. We only get quartz interior for ASM, GBM, CGP, ABP exteriors and in all cases the alternative is ebony (which personally I would take any time over quartz).

Oh wow...sounds like it is not the one in the Southside then...

I have heard the one in the west end of the city is owned by a family who has multiple dealerships in Edmonton...
