Any word yet on when the Blitzsafe model that is compatible with XM radio is coming out? I love my XM, but I love my iPod too. FM transmitters suck. I want to be able to have both XM and iPod, but I'm not down with splicing wires and complicated stuff like that, that's not really my thing. Is there a place on blitzsafe's website I should check for updates?

I just talked to Blitzsafe and they said it is in production and should be out in about a week and a half to two weeks. They didn't tell the the product name but they said to call back in two weeks to see where we will be able to buy it. So looks like hopefully there will be an easy plug and play adaptor to have ipod, xm, and nav funtionability!!!! Can't wait.

Honestly, Iam tired of waiting for the BlitzSafe (haha "BS") product, and I don't think they are going to have a decent one for us even when they DO get it out.

The PIE solution does the same thing, is available, and others have used it with success.

I don' t like that I need to have an A/B switch for the thing to work, but I don't think BS was going to solve this problem any time soon.

Stogie, you provide a good point. I am gonna wait till the end of the month. If BS doesn't produce, then i'm gonna go the PIE way. If i do go the pie way im' gonna get a Blitzsafe UII so i can have the charging incorperated into the one plug in the ipod.

I installed my Blitzsafe Ipod adapter today and it works flawlessly. I ordered it from enfigcarstereo. They shipped it the same day and I received it the next day even though I selected standard shipping. Needless to say, I am very pleased with how quickly they processed my ordered.

The install was very simple like everyone says. You simply remove the cd bin, unplug the pin connector and plug in the blitzsafe. I decided to run the wire through the center console and out through the armrest storage. It was a real pain to remove the console. You really have to use ALOT of force, and when you are worried about keeping your car in perfect condition, it can be pretty concerning. Now the ipod wire can stay hidden in the bin when I am not using it, and I think it makes for a clean install. Sounds great and charges the ipod, overall this is a great mod.

Like bgillete says, even a monkey could do this...well, maybe a gorilla if you decide to open up the console (or superhuman strength). Check this link for tips:

I have a 2004 TSX w/o NAV. I have an iPod that is currently connected to the radio with an SNHOND3 adapter, but I just got an XM Roady2 that I want to use also.

I read about the USAspec iPod adapter that looks like it will allow me to connect the iPod and Roady2 to the headunit at the same time, but I can't seem to tell if the USAspec adapter will work on the '04 TSX.

Does anyone know anything about this adapter or if there's another way to have both an iPod and an XM radio connected simultaneously?

Thanks.

In addition to XM losing its functionality, does the CD changer also gets lost after blitzsafe?
What exactly do we have to sacrifice for this...

If you just have a TSX w/Navi, nothing gets lost. If you have navi and xm, you loose XM.

Now, if you just have XM, and no navi, I dont think you will loose XM, but I could be wrong...

I had to disconnect my XM antenna so the iPod would play, regardless of whether the HU would switch to CD-C or stay on one of the XMs. Blitzsafe is sending me one of the new XM-compatible units this week. We'll see if that works any better.

i remember reading about an adapter that allows 2 inputs and switches to CD-C, then A (or something), then back to CD. That would be great for either xm + ipod, or in my case ipod + dvd. however, I don't know where i saw it and i cant find the link.

Try this one:

It seems to be ok for a 04 tsx.

You can find the same at:

BlitzSafe says that the Hon/Aux DMX V.2X will work with XM. Does anyone know of a way to keep XM AND Navi?

I have a 2005 TSX with Navi & XM. I purchased one of the earlier Blitzsafe units, but would have issues with switching to CD-C. I just spoke with Victor at Blitzsafe who is sending me one of the new chips which is supposed to work with Navi & XM. I should get it next week and it hopefully will work properly.

Call Blitzsafe at (201) 569-5000. I don't know if you need to necessarily speak with Victor - probably anyone there can help you.

Cool thanks. Hopefully it will work. Most of the time when I switch AUX it won't recognize the blitzsafe again. I usually have to unplug the unit from the back of the radio and plug it in again.

I understand the skepticism, but it is not costing me anything to give it a shot. We'll see what happens.

I spoke with Blitzsafe Friday. Best Buy is beginning to carry their products, so they have been busy shipping to the stores. I was supposed to get my new chip today, but it did not arrive. Hopefully tomorrow.

So, I guess marketing and sales volume is more important to BS than having a functioning product.....

This company sounds like they're spinning a lot of BS. If I were you, I would research an alternative product instead of the Blitzsafe, such as the USA SPEC.

Its more expensive, but it works. And people have it. Can't beat that.
