blacking out chrome trim
Ive seen people who have used vibyl for it, and it doesnt look bad at all.
Personally, I would get the JDM trim because it has a little more gloss to it than vinyl, but at the same time, no one wants to pay for it.

yeah, i've contemplated this myself. But at ~$450, you have to have some cash to burn to justify the investment in black vs. chrome. I still want to do this switch as it really changes the look of the car, but 450 can be more wisely spent on performance/suspension mods that net you much more fun factor.

I'm in no hurry to make my car look more Euro
I'll wait at least a decade until they start to fade but even on my old CB7 Accord, the chrome trim held up pretty well

I'm telling you guys you can really just cover up your car with alot of news paper and tape, then sand down the chrome and paint over it.
Nyc06tsx did it came out nice, he told me the process was a bit ridiculous since your covering up the whole car just to paint the trim heh.

That's way too much work when the tape looks 90% as good.
What would be cool is if some one could come up with the right shapes required in a vector format file so people could just take that to any old vinyl graphics shop and have it cut from high quality vinyl. You'd have piece some of the bigger pieces like around the windows but good vinyl looks every bit as good as paint. If you're careful you can make the seams all but invisible too. It would definitely be the best bang for the buck way to do it.
