Black is the color for TSX

Myself and others have seen other tsx's in many other colors. Nothing seems to make the TSX look nearly as nice as the Black. I will never get another color for any car, but for the TSX it is a must. Many of the other colors seem to make the car just look like an ordinary car on the road. The black- waxed often is amazing.

That's the key. But it looks like crap if you don't maintain it often. And it shows little scratches very easily. I had a dark color car before, it was nice when IT IS CLEAN. I would never get another dark color car.

Right, its the worst color when dirty, and the best color when clean

IMO, of course

PWP a close second

i had a black car once and it looked nuts when it was clean. favorite color by far. i wont ever own another black car though, even if they gave it to me for free. it looks like shit after a year with all the scratches, swirls and chips you can see in it. i also like not having to dry my car to good now and not having to worry about seeing spots and fingerprints on it. if i ever go dark again, it will be navy blue and thats only a decision ill make when im drunk...

Nighthawk Black Pearl is a beautiful color but takes so much work to keep looking good. Swirlmarks show up at the drop of a hat. I know from experience. My GSR was that color. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I always kept it waxed but it would still get marks inbetween treatments.

I don't like black cars and PWP is to my eyes the color that makes the TSX stand out. So clean.

I like black but only if you use Zaino to keep it clean.

Hmm, I wonder which wax you are talking about? Maybe Meguiars? Nah, gotta be Zaino......nope, nope...... Klasse.

On a serious note though, black is too hard to keep looking good. Sometimes I'm not in the mood to do such a good job cleaning (very rare, but happens) even if I was using Pinnacle. There, I said it.

I couldn’t agree with you more! Had a black Z28 and it was a “pain” to keep it clean! I currently own a PWP TSX and before that silver TL. Those two colors are “very easy” to keep clean and two classic colors. Regardless of color the TSX is a sweet ride! Happy Motoring!

NHB is the way to go for sure, makes the car look even more luxurious in my opinion.

So let me ask you now... how much have you spent on carwashes since you posted this? I've had mine since April 16th and in 2 1/2 months I think my total is:

10 weeks
2 washes a week
$14.99 a wash
= $300

Not to mention a $50 express detailing job... turns out black leather gets dirty just as fast as the paint

i love my NBP, but yeah, maintenance is high and swirl marks, dings, or chips are horrendous. i just washed my car this weekend and noticed some jerk must've bumped into my rear bumper b/c there were these two tiny divets digging into the polyurethane.

usually i spend a few hours admiring it after a wash. b/c that's how long it takes to look dirty again.

I think all the dark colors get dirty pretty easily, I find myself washing my CGP at least once a week. I think black is a hit or miss with this car..sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. But I think the CGP looks good all the time.

I love having my NBP, and wouldn't trade it for any other color out there. I apply Maguiars 3-step waxes to it twice a year (spring and fall), and then just wash it once every week or two and use a california car duster between washings. The car always looks shit hot, and I have NO swirlies or scratches on it. Black on black on black. Quite the combo...

PWP pisses all over NBP. Every car comes in black...not every car comes in PWP.

Don't get me wrong... black on black is the most baller shit out there, but it sucks when all you notice is how dirty it gets. I would have preferred to have gotten my TSX in arctic blue pearl but it was super hard to find a 6sp man. The dealer searched the entire country for one in ABP and only 1 came up, too bad somebody had money down on it and it was also 1800 miles away. As far as the 6sp they said it would be impossible to find in any color other than carbon grey, silver or black (partially since i wanted the ebony leather)... which all three colors were at the bottom of my list (I actually made a list, I think I have it still... 1.ABP, 2.PWP, 3.GBM, 4.RBP, 5.MR, 6.ASM, 7.NBP, 8.CGP) then when i went in to buy a silver one they traded for they wouldnt take my 2 trades for a reasonable amount (a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 100k and my 05 RSX type S with 28k) so i had to go to a different dealer who had a 6sp in stock... and it ends up being Nighthawk Black Pearl with Ebony leather.

I never would have picked it if I they would have had another color 6sp in stock... not in 1,000,000 years (unless it was carbon grey, it looks nice on the website but i didn't like it in person... too bland). I've owned 8 cars since I was 16... Im only 25 so I must be doing something right, and 7 of those 8 cars have been Black on Black. I finally wise up to the fact that it'll never look the same way it does on the clean showroom floor... so i decide to TRY and get a different color car and this is what happens... I must be ment for... or cursed with black on black.
