i saw the post regarding the black chrome TL badges, but is there something specific i can buy to do my badges myself?
or, is there a website someone knows of where i can buy them? (not really my first choice, but if i have to...)

i used to want an is300 before i discovered the straight dope-nicity of the tsx -- i saw black chrome emblems on one of those and loved it!

i have many posts about where to get the black chrome, how to paint gunmetal badges, etc. etc. search

btw: i took the gunmetal off my badge, it chipped so I removed the rest, came off very easily.

 

instead of searching, i'll just tell you that you can buy the a emblem from acura - it's from the previous gen tl. and acura sells it for 80, someone here can get 50 i can't remember who.

btw--i did search before i posted, just couldn't find an answer. i've seen ACC's car and it looks great, but checking it out doesn't get them on my car, now does it?

and you're right, on topic! gunmetal is too dark for me, i definately don't like the matte finish and i don't want a half ass job, so i'll check some local shops around town -- someone in the A-T-L is bound to have a quality job ability.

i won't lie, in fact, i said so in my original post -- i love the look! plus i tend to be the type of person who gets an idea in her mind and seeks it out.
my only concern is since i haven't seen a car completely done, i don't know what to do about the grill -- leave it as is and just black chrome the front A emblem? oooo---i'll post a photoshop request.

i did find that post, but i guess i should have been more clear in the beginning -- if i do this, i want it all done, not just the back A -- i don't like the shaved look, i happen to like the acura and the tsx on the back.

I don't think the front grill will look good in gunmetal, only because the black plastic surrounding it. sounds like a lot of work for custom emblems
