Really? How come the C5-c6 vettes are faster in the 1/4 with a auto? How come the older Fbody Z28s were as well?

A good transmission that has good gearing and a excellent TQ converter will produce very good times. And the Auto G35 has proven that on the forums.

Going from a modded TSX to a 06 350z i can honestly say (not bashing the TSX , i used to have one) that theres no way in hell he was trying. Although my car is slightly faster than the g35c, im sure it pulls just the same, and it pulls hard. ESPECIALLY at higher speeds like that.

I would have to agree with the commonality of the G35 not really trying hard. My best friend has an 04 AT sedan version and we didn't really race, but i hit like 5-6k from a start in first gear and my friend was dead even with me and the G35's rpm's were at like 3600 RPM's. (we were on the phone...lol) Those things, even the 4 door sedans are fast compared to the TSX. I love my car, but its not the get up and go easily like the G35.

My friend actually got the new 07 G35x as a loaner when they're 04 was in for service and WOW that new 307 HP engine MOVES....even for AWD!!!

How is this even a comparison? I'm sure the v6 Altima would leave the TSX in the dust far more a G35c.

Summary:

TSX can beat a 4 cyl Altima and Sentra, but not a V6 Altima
TSX can't beat the 1st gen G35 sedan and coupe nor 2nd gen G35 sedan

TL can beat a V6 Altima and Maxima, not sure if TL can beat the new 2007 Altima
TL-S can't beat 2nd gen G35 sedan, but can beat 07 Altima and Maxima.

G35c can beat Accord coupe, TSX, TL, and TL-S
G35c can't beat S2000 due to weight.

Let's just say Nissan owns Honda in terms of power, but Honda owns Nissan in reliablity, interiors, and has more fuel efficient vehicles.

WRONG

Ive posted about this before. Ive raced (my friend and me) a 05 ALTIMA 2.5S against a 06 TSX. The altima won by over two car lengths from a stop light till about 60. From 40mph the altima still was well over a car length infront of me to a race to 70MPH.

We played around with manualy shifting the autos but the results were always the same. Nissan makes pretty decent motors, the old h.p. sells cars while tourqe wins races really came into play.

I would really like to see some real world testing for both of those, Im pretty sure the TL one isnt correct while the G35c im still debating.

But you have an AT. I still THINK, (and I may be wrong) that a 6MT TSX can take any 4 cylinder Altima.

doubtful...i dont even see how you could come to that conclusion at all..

Ive been a member of this board for a LONG time, im really sick of these stupid threads. Ok, we all know TSX isnt very fast and alot of cars that are cheaper are faster than them, stop with all the stupid nick-picky threads over what cars are faster or slower.

Its a car forum so I wouldn't expect these threads to stop anytime soon, nor should they. Have you forgotten your own thread involving that Altima?

This thread didn't start as a "My TSX beat a G35c" he was wondering if his TSX did beat one, but it looks like a no.

I sorta aided in the threads hijacking with my Youtube link tho

I'm not really in the "who's faster crowd"

I uploaded the vid cuz I was surprsed to see the S2K beat the G35, thats all.

But IMO whenever I see people speeding on the road i just think, "wow he's going no where fast" The way i see it, unless ur destination is more than 65 miles away, for example, going over the speed limit won't save you any time.

But, unless I'm dying, I'd rather get places in style rather than quickly.

i just hate people trying to race on streets. Just two nights ago when I was driving home in my evo IX at 10pm, a TSX kept trying to race with me, first by tailgating me, then changed lane and drove side by side, then gun it hard. I totally ignored him and enjoyed my normal driving. What the hell was he thinking? And I was from a TSX 6MT before, and know its capability quite well. Maybe he will post in the forum one day that he smoked an evo in west LA.

Nice point!!! I agree with you for the most part. If your trip has some highway in it you can make up time but it all depends on lights and than at that point it pretty much just comes out in the wash. That is exactly why i am thinking about using the money i was saving for hondata and comptech headers and getting those new Ron Jon Legends.....they are making me
