Hey everyone -
I don't post very often, but I wanted to share some good news w/ my fellow TSXers. I have a NBP 5AT Non-navi. From the time that I got the car I have been looking for a relaible quality remote start for my sweet ride (I live in Buffalo. NY and it can be a long winter getting into a cold car every morning!) Anyway, I was looking for a unit that integrated with my factory alarm, had good range, had a nice looking key fob (not like those goofy fast & the furious-looking 2-ways), and had some extra inputs for other goodies that I wanted to add. Anyway after months of research, I came up with AUTOSTART. For those not farmilliar with the product, it is made in Canada, and the setup is a little different from the normal Crimestopper, Viper, etc...BUT it works very well with the Acura/Honda cars. I had the bypass module put inso that i didn't have to use a key for the installation. Anyway the unit reportedly has a range of 2000 ft (which obviously varies depending on where you place the antenna.) I have nothing but good things to say about the Autostart product, great range, good quality, and nice features. I also added a module so that I can roll my windows UP as well as down with a second lock/unlock button press, as well as close the moonroof. The whole setup (including installation cost a little more than $200).
