Best GT4 settings for the TSX (Euro-R)

Here are my settings for my fully tuned Accord Euro-R in GT4.

I have yet to work on the tranny... but I use the full customized tranny, stage 3 turbo, triple plate clutch, racing flywheel, racing brakes, racing tires medium/soft, racing chip, and racing exhaust.

Suspension:
Spring rate (front and rear): 13.5
Ride Height (front and rear): 99
Shock (bound) (front and rear): 4
Shock (rebound) (front and rear) 8
Camber angle: (front): 4 (rear): 3.5
Toe Angle (front and rear): 0
Stablizers (front and rear): 4

Limited Slip Differential settings:
Intial Torque: 12
Limited-slip Acceleration: 42
Limited-slip Deceleration: 30

Brake Controller:
Front and rear: 16

Driving aids:
ASM system (oversteer): 2
ASM system (understeer): 3
TCS Controller: 4

With these settings the 370HP Accord Euro-R clocks close to my fully tuned 460hp S2000 on Tsukuba. The Accord Euro-R is a difficult car to tune but I have found with these settings its completely balanced. I have reduced wheel spin, increased cornering speeds, and reduced understeer and even can invoke slight oversteer.

What are everyone elses settings for the Euro-R in GT4?

LOL...

oh man

I'm not a girl... sorry to confuse you, my screenname does not originate from Jessica Alba... LOL. Oh man

My fully tuned S2K gets around the same time (58 seconds). My Euro-R gets around 1:01.

In a word...YES!...once you go 900 degrees with feedback, you never go back...;-) The logitech also has pretty realistic feedback, I love it.

Do you have to set it up at a table to play using it? I am afraid my living room and coffee table doesn't go well for that

Same problem here, so I ordered a "lap attachment" that goes on the base and basically sits in between your legs like a fine, tall, brunette that....well you get the idea..;-) It works pretty well.

anyone else notice if u do the engine balance upgrade (the 12000 mod) the scale of your tach changes
insteada of incrementing by 1 it goes up by 2 (don't remember if redline is increased i'm assuming it would be)
not every car is affected by this but a few are (eg: CTR, NSX, ITR)
what gear ratio's and tires do u use?
is it worthwhile adding a wing for downforce?

I've been playing Toca Racecar Driver 2 recently... In no way a GT4 comparison, but good enough for now. What I do love about Xbox vs PS2 is that the analog control is so much better. You can feather the throttle and brake to make cornering so SWEET!!!

Haha... don't have to be brunette as long as... (never mind)...

I've seen a friend using a similar wheel-on-lap setup on the PSX (pre-PS2 days), but that wheel was a crappy one to begin with (nothing like Logitech's) so that experience wasn't too good.

If you are using the lap attachment with the 900-degrees wheel and still love it so much, I guess it is that good then! How much did the lap attachment cost you by the way?

I played the original Toca on PC and have also played Toca Race Driver 2 on PC recently from time to time. Yup, it's definitely a great race-sim game in its own rights. On the PC, I use the Logitech Force Feedback wheel at my desk.

As sweet as all the modern racing games and controllers are, still missing the feeling of Gs...

A little update here

So I got my GT4 as a bday gift from Mrs. 05_TSX_GP several days before my bday...

Played it couple times using DS2 and loving the game every bit, no surprise there really. Graphics-wise, it is just slightly better than GT3, granted I don't have a HDTV --- yet. Though I love the nicely done in-game display touches including the new throttle and brake indicators. And not to mention the photo feature!!!

Then exactly one day before my bday, couldn't resist any longer... so went out and got everything needed to further improve the real driving simulator experience.

Check it out!!!

The "GT4 table and chair" can easily be moved out of the living room and be stashed away... it's no Recaro but this is by far the best set up I've enjoyed with GT games as well as all PC driving games (I've had 3 PC steering wheels before too).

Now the only thing missing is my big-screen HDTV

You're missing one important piece of your "Real Driving Simulator"... a cupholder for that can of Dr. Pepper.

Oh yeah, it totally rocks!!! Thanks all you guys for the input by the way

GT4 plus the wheel can almost be a virtual performance driving school... I am going through the licensing tests and progressively improving my times as I repeat each test until I get or too tired to repeat (can always go back when I am rested). I am getting more with more ease than I used to in GT/GT2/GT3 without steering wheel.

The wheel does make it lots more fun because I don't have to learn how to steer with the thumbs stick

By the way, first car I bought in GT4 is the "TSX" but keeping it bone stock right now (just like my real life ride), already won Sunday Cup with it. Now concentrating on more licenses...

Don't spend too much time on the licences. You'd wanna save up money for the special black cars that you can buy later in the game.

and I quote from GameSpot

Hidden Black Cars

On days 694-700 in the used car lots you can buy special black versions of:
1.Toyota GT One Race Car
2.Mazda 787B
3.Nissan R390 Race Car
4.Nissan R92CP Race Car

To Buy them all it comes to roughly 9,000,000 credits
