B12 service prices..

Hello,

Just wondering what your dealerships are charging for B-12 services? I have an 07 TSX, and they wanted $379 for it. There's no way I will pay that. I then inquired about just the engine air filter, cabin air filter, tire rotation, and oil change - $220. Still super high. So, I'm just going to opt to get the oil changed and tires rotated. I will then do the engine air filter/ cabin air filter replacement myself.

Also, I was informed by Acura that they ONLY check the fluid levels and adjust tire pressures for an oil change. Unless you get a "B service", they don't do a multi-point inspection - is this normal?

Lastly, do I really need them to take apart my brakes and clean them at 24k miles? This was done at 10k, and I can't imagine that this needs to be done again, or am I totally wrong?

Jeff

depends on the dealer-the dealer I go to does check the fluids and tire pressure for oil changes. I also get my tires balanced when I have them rotated (makes them last longer IMO)-my oem tires last 74,000 miles.

Did you do any of the "B services" If so, which ones, and what did the dealer usually charge you for them?

Just recently had the B-12 service done-they did not charge me $379-it was (including sales tax) $180.00. They also repainted my pinstripes which were destroyed by another acura dealer in Nevada (we took our car there for service when we were on our annual roadtrip) They did not charge me for the repaint. My car had just over 85,000 miles at the time

all those can be done all by yourself. Changing the oil is simple and take it to a gas station for tire rotation.

I totally agree for those who enjoy doing it. I am not one of them-I bring it to an acura dealer that IMO is excellent. It also is a selling point-dealer maintained.
