Automatic transmission problems?
Automatic transmission problems?
So if the TL was having so many automatic transmission problems, is it safe to assume these problems were corrected for the TSX? I wonder if Acura is using the same automatic transmission in the TSX or if it has been redesigned.
I believe the TL transmission problems only affected 2002 and early 2003 model year cars. Later built 2003 TL's cars got a transmission that didn't have that problem. I had to pick up my friend with their broken TL on the side of the road one day, and I still bought a TSX!
I would strongly assume the tsx tranny is different. It should be a unit designed for a 4 cylinder and not a v6... however even if it was the same unit seeing as how the tsx produces far less torque I doubt you would see any problems.

besides the fact that the TSX is a 4cyl and the TL is a v6, acura would be stupid not to have fixed the problems. So, i'd say the transmissions are different also
