Automatic Transmission Fluid Change

Hi guys, just wondering, how often do you change your automatic transmission fluid?

What type of AT fluid do you use for the changes?

Thanks.

I try to change at least every 30k miles (drain/replace only). Fluid is still pink on my tsx at 140K miles. I have a tranny whine at 50-60 mph that is noticeable but tolerable.

good luck

Honda ATF, every 30,000 miles since new, zero problems (so far) at 118,000 miles.

Same here 30k Honda 3qts ATF fluid. Drain and fill. You might want to get this tool to make removing the plastic clips a little easier.

Amazon.com: GearWrench 3729 Push Pin Removal Pliers - 30°: Automotive Amazon.com: GearWrench 3729 Push Pin Removal Pliers - 30°: Automotive

Also get some generic plastic clips off Ebay as these clips are cheap and break easily.

Best to stick with Honda ATF, there's alot of multi vehicle stuff but OEM is best way to go and just as everyone said Honda/Acura transmissions are drain and fills only, unless your doing it yourself, if anyone says that you have to flush it, that's wrong, Honda auto transmissions are similar to a manual transmission, rather than a normal A/T and Honda even doesn't recommend flushing their transmissions.
