Automatic Lock on TSX?

My first post on this forum. Man, this forum is really addicting, couldn't go by a day without at least checking the forum twice a day...
So I got my 05'TSX almost two weeks ago (CG/Ebony/6MT/Navi). I was lucky to get it fresh from Japan so it was 4 miles at delivery. Too bad I didn't take a picture...

I've been very much enjoying my TSX. It's a lot of fun driving it (I don't miss my VR6 Jetta hehe), although I am still breaking it in (varying different RPM at different gear).

Anyway, my question is one of the features that I'm missing is the "automatic lock" feature. Does that even exist on the TSX? I couldn't find it in the manual. Automatic lock basically locks all the door once the car passes a certain speed. Just curious, that's all. I know TL has it.

Mine automatically locks all the doors because I inevitably try to sit my arm on top of the driver's lock plunger.

It still hurts, too.

I have a three monitor setup at work, the right one always has the AZINE's in it. I check it whenever I want to take a break from work...that's like every 15 minutes There is a wealth of knowledge (and opinions) and its just amusing to read sometimes.

I love my TSX, but want it faster... modding is more addicting than the forums, even though these forums kick ass!

Congrats and Welcome! and 6MT

No automatic lock feature when stock, but you can always get an aftermarket alarm that will have that feature.

Our previous cars were an Audi and a Passat; both had auto-locking/unlocking.
I really liked that feature, but have learned to do without it.

I wish it had this feature, I'm always locking my doors.

Even my Rendezvous locks the doors when put in gear and it automatically unlocks when put in park.

Welcome,

THis is definitely a great forum. What part of So Cal are you in? I'm sure you know about the SoCal meet thread on 6-4-05. You should come.

San Diego. Yeah I saw that thread about the meet, isn't that in Chino area? Hopefully I'll be able to make it.

I installed a CompuStar remote start system with keyless entry - you can buy the auto lock feature as an option.

Pretty ironic that you went from a Jetta VR6, which is what I currently drive (83,000) miles and replaced it with a CG/Ebony 6MT Navi TSX, which is the exact car I hope to get in the next couple of weeks.

How are you liking the TSX so far, are you missing the power of the VR6?
Is the TSX feeling sluggish, or.......

Anyway, congrats. I hope to be signing in soon.

Which should have been a free programming option...
