Do a search this has been brought up before...Not sure anyone has done it though, just discussed. I would think that there would be quite a bit of work, putting in motors and sensors and the like.

Apart from the gee-whiz gadget appeal, what does this add to the car? I ask, not to be snarky, but as a Saint-Exupéry adherent: (paraphrasing) "... Perfection is achieved not when nothing more can be added, but when nothing more can be taken away."

it helps if you have a small garage. Alot less twisting to get around the mirrors.

Could probably get you a couple of UK Accord mirrors, our are electrically folding via a button on the door switchplate. Our Accord is the same as the TSX

True, it really serves no purpose unless you have THAT much trouble getting into a garage. I used to be in a garage and never had trouble, even parking on the side of the street now for 2 years I can't see it being that advantageous... What does it save, 1-2 inches?

I've seen cars parked at meters get their mirror ripped off by passing cars.
Easier to push a button than to go out and do it manually, plus it looks
classier.

There are some municipalities where a 1-car garage, or 2-car, is so small that you have to slenderize to slip by the car. It's been so long since I lived in (my hometown of) San Francisco, or another area, where that is the case. Think also of places here (rare) and abroad (much more common) where the streets are quite narrow, and parking is 1/2 street, 1/2 sidewalk. How much does a replacement TSX mirror cost, if it's smashed by a lorry?

(Another example.) Here at work, in a multi-level parking garage, the inner slots on the ramp are pretty much for compacts only, but not labeled. Employees regularly, frequently complain about people in larger cars who park there, and leave no room for adjacent cars to open their doors. I see garages and parking spots regularly which are "downsized" so as to boast "more slots." I hate it, but it's a real concern when minivans, upscale SUVs, and larger sports cars need to park. I just saw a Lambo at Red Robin, and the owner parked right in front, no doubt where he could keep an eye out. In these situations, I can quite understand the OP's interest.
