Auto Transmission Fluid Type?
Getting ready to do a transmission fluid flush/refill. The TSX manual says to only use Honda ATF fluid. Yet when I went to my local Pep Boys, there are several brands that say they are good with Honda/Acura trannys.
What have the folks on her who have DIY'd your tranny fluid exchange used? I want to use the best that is out there. I use Mobil 1 for oil so I'm willing to go synthetic or whatever.
TIA

I've read many instances where ppl start to have problems with their tranny when using non Honda OEM fluids (some slipping, rough shift, etc), but once they switch back to OEM Honda ATF/MTF, then the problems go away.
It's ATF-Z1 to be exact for the auto TSX's

interesting enough.. on the comptech supercharger install for automatics it says to use redline ATF fluid.. im guessing it holds the transmission shock better then OEM.. you may want to look into that in the future if you are planning to do any mods
