ATTN: SoCal 6MT's with clutch clicking problem!
For those of you with the dreaded clutch clicking problem near Orange County, have any of you been able to successfully get the dealer fix it permanently? If so, what dealer did you go to?
I don't want to be without my car for another full day only to have the problem come back. I need to find a dealer that actually knows the REAL solution -- not just experiment with bandaids.
I brought my car to Weir Canyon Acura 3 weeks ago and they were able to stop the clicking for only 1-2 hours of driving. After that, the darned thing came back. Although their service seemed good, I was told that they don't see any 6MTs come in at all -- they're pretty much foreign/exotic cars to the mechanics.
On the bright side, at least I got a free car *scratching* --- I mean washing from the dealer. Never, never, never let the dealer wash a black car.

I had it, but now it's gone. Not quite sure what to make of it. I suspect it may be the clutch start switch that is causing the noise, because the clutch otherwise operates perfectly.
I've also had the squeaking noise from my clutch, and that's also been intermittent. More annoying than anything.

I also mentioned it to my service advisor. That this is known problem and what has commonly been done to cure the problem is to replace the clutch master cylinder. They looked into it and changed

Mine hasnt clicked since the dealer serviced it. BUT, it hasnt been warm out either, which is when it usually happens. I told the service guy that they master cylinders were being replaced on other TSX's, but he wanted to try readjusting and cleaning first. I drive by the dealer everyday so I told him if it starts clicking again, Im going to pull right in and you need to replace the MC. So I'll keep you updated...

fixed for now
i got my 30K service last week and mentioned the clutch was notchy. it has been going on for the past 10-15K miles, and i had just learned to live with it. the dealer actually told me that it was the clutch MC and replaced it willingly. while putting it back together, they accidently broke some pin, so i had to wait a day for that to come in. regardless, it feels way better than before. actually i wasn't used to the silence since i was living with it for so long. the dealer i went to was Planet Acura in Downey. my service advisor was Paul, and there is another one Kam who helped me out as well. both are extremely cool and will take care of you.

I have an appointment to get this looked at and will tell them that many TSX 6sp owners have the problem and TO REPLACE THE MC!!!
I think acura needs to send a recall on this,
