armor all for leather?

This is my first leather trimmed car and I am trying to figure out how I am going to clean/treat the leather. What do you all think of those armor all leather wipes? Or is there something way better? And should I wipe down the entire seat..or just the middle leather part.

Stay away from anything with the name Armor All on it!

Lexol, or 303...

Wow you want to use amor-all on your car= b.a.d.11Not me said the blind man. Mothers and there is Meguiars that makes a bad as leather cleaning and treating product. I had to use it once on my uncle's car and it was so good that I used it on the leather couches that were in my house. Yeah they were by a big window with a lot of sun on them and got beat up. Boy when Meguiars went on it made them look almost new again. A hella lot better than they did look and ohh so soft. But yeah there are a lot of gd product but whatever you do dont use the stuff from hell that they market as good!!

Yes armor all is that bad. And for that fact any product that contains certain petrochemicals and silicone oils which breaks down carbon chains is bad.

Basically once you use a product like armor all you are slave to it for life, you have to continue to use it very very regularly (read: at the minimum weekly) to maintain the chemical compound that makes it up. As soon as it wears thin there will be no protection to the surface it was used on. This will lead to premature fading and cracking of surface materials.

303 has a good detailed description of this problem here: http://www.303products.com/techinfo/...esareblack.htm

As to where the product is used it depends on the product. Lexol the whole seat. 303, the entire interior except glass and rugs (dash, gauges, seats, side panels, rubber and rubber-type seals, etc)
