Anyone want to speculate on a lease/trade-in deal?

Hi all:

I am going to go visit a couple Acura dealers next week with an interest of leasing a 2005 TSX with 10k mile allowance for 36 months.

I currently own a 2004 TSX:

1) Carbon Gray
2) Ebony
3) 18,000 miles
4) Excellent condition in and out
5) No-navi
6)$23,000 payoff

I looked at blackbook and it appears that the trade-in value is approximately $22,400. Does this sound feasible to you guys?

Based on the above figures/information, what costs do you think would be involved with this swap?

Thanks,
Ced

Just ask for the $23,000 to pay off your car.

22,400 sounds about right especially for CG. If you bargain hard enough you can wash out your old lease. The dealership will eat the negative equity you have in your payoff through their markup over invoice in the TSX. But a 10,000 mile a year lease might run you high in payments cause their is no specific program for a 10,000 mile lease though american honda finance.

hope that helps

CG is a great color for resale purposes. In contrast, ABP is not as popular

blackbook is an auction book that only a few dealerships nationwide use. I know Pennsylvania uses it. Its uaually about 1000-1500 over Galves which is what 90 percent of the east coast uses

Not so much date, but location that matters

kbb is not an accurate way to check trade in value. Dealerships give auction value(the average that the car sells for at auction). You should always go 1200-1800 below kbb
