just wondering if this works? The bar spread for our TSX is 22.5 inches. The box does fit on my rack. Is the spacing a safety issue or something else?

I'm more of a Yakima fan, but pressing forward. I would highly recommend calling Thule, as they will be able to tell you if they think you will be safety concern or not. For instance, when I had my Ford Contour, I put an aftermarket moonroof in it, the glass slid back over the top of the roof. I put a Yakima roof rack on my car, but the moonroof would smack into it if I opened it all the way. I wanted to move the rear bar back a few inches. Called Yakima, asked, they said no problem, just don't try to push the weight too high.
