Anyone still zipping around in 1st-gen (as main car) ?
Had 04, gave to relative as 1st car in '19 with just 70K miles. He sold it after college.
Just curious - is it your "beater" ? daily driver ? how is it holding up ?
And I'm guessing you're not the original owner.
My 2004 in 2019. Considering the subsequent events (Pandemic, remote work, inflation etc) I probably would still be driving her otherwise.
I had a CGP/Graystone 5AT 06 TSX w/ Navi and ASpec since new. Handed it down to my son as his first H.S. car in 2014 and into college. He probably would still have it if it wasn't totaled by a red light runner in 2019 with +176,000 miles. My daughter still has our old 08 RDX tech when handed down to her in 2019.
I just rebuilt my entire front suspension minus shocks which are coming soon (probably coilovers), rebuilt my starter, power steering pump and did a valve adjustment. my car has 210K miles and i've owned it since 175K, second owner.
It's my daily driver that i trade off between my 07 RX to go to/from work. Both are geriatric vehicles that i have either vehicle in service inside my garage at some point, and i'll take the other. our 17 MDX is our main family vehicle.
which products did you use to rebuild all these parts? Did the starter only need new brushes? Did the power steering pump only need a few o rings?
Still driving my 04, 6MT, 230k miles and going strong! Just did a long drive and got 31mpg!
I splurged on oem because idid most of the work myself. I threw in the towel with one lower control arm because i couldn't get it out and had a shop do that for me.
OEM
Upper control arms
lower control arm bushings
Sway bar end links
Outer and inner tie rods
Motor mounts- I initially replaced them with anchors at first and regretted it
Oem starter rebuild kit
passenger oem axle rebuild kit from heeltoe
Denso reman alternator
gates power steering rebuild kit from rock auto
Felpro/ Victor rein valve cover gasket.
Still using my original struts for now but will be replacing with tein flex z soon
Have not touched my rear suspension yet. Oem par
ts seem to be harder to get for back there and I might need to go aftermarket
if you have the time and a table, it's really easy to rebuild the starter and power steering pump. Tons of videos on you tube and write ups on here, driveaccord and the club

ah haha a JDM-modded TSX - long time no see. Reminds me of that "ColtIceHockey" (?) dude in PA who JDM'ed the HELL out of the TSX.
Are the headlights JDM ? are you the original owner ?

Just looked him up- omg i wish I had even half his build. My car was a single owner owned vehicle up to 175K and i'm at 210K now. It was in rough shape when i got it and am trying to restore it little by little. Going for the OEM+ look. Got the Euro - R grill, front, side and rear lips, Mugen exhaust. Mostly stock and OEM honda parts for anything i've worked on. Car is in decent shape for being as old as it is. I hope to be able to keep it as my daily driver for the next 2-3 years while i save up for an integra type-s
For the headlights, I purchased some clear side markers from a totaled JDM CL9, and put them in my USDM headlights. I opened them up and swapped the clear markers and put in the non-fresnel lenses. I still believe these headlights have better performance than most modern LED beams. I lived in Japan for 2 years and the license plate was from one of my vehicles.
I am the 2nd owner of a 2008 TSX AT Base purchased in 2018 with 83K miles, now up to 152K and it's my daily, I was doing some online research to maybe swap into something new, search results drove me here and I've just signed up. After browsing around here I'm now leaning on keeping TSX and maybe just adding the absent tech (a good bluetooth and a backup camera) My prior car was a 1999 Integra LS w/GSR rims/tires. The TSX is many good things and fun can be had, just not the pure fun that is/was an Integra, even a stock AT one.
Original owner of MSM 05 TSX , auto, 193 K & runs like it was 05. Bought it in 05 to use it as the "vacation/long drives" car to replace 92 Accord (2nd owner), that was getting old but still drove till 2015. Became daily driver in June 2015, 6 months before I retired. Still on original muffler, added USA SPEC bluetooth, everything else is original. Paint & interior is it in excellent condition, people don't believe is an 05. Enjoy driving it every year @ the Charity & Holiday laps @ VIR; is more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.
