Anyone replaced their stock shocks in their 04-05 TSX?
Anyone here has replaced their shocks in their 04-05 TSX? Mine is a 05 TSX and it is beginning to show that the shocks are wearing out in resilience. The rebound is quite a bit less controlled as before.
I do not want those TEIN or suped-up aftermarket coil-over shocks, but was wondering if I should get the OEM replacements from Acura, or Koni's, or KYB's or Tokico.
If I just buy OEM from Acura, cost ~ $450 + installation.
Koni's ~ $640 + installation (will probably need new lowering springs)
KYB ~ $ 250 + installation (again need new lowering springs)
Tokico ~ $300 + installation (again need new lowering springs)
Any suggestions?

Is it already lowered with the OEM shocks? If it is, you are about right. You probably blew them up. If everything is stock on the car as far as suspension. I can't imagine blowing your shocks ona 3 year old car. But as far as your question, I suggest to go with the Tokicos and a another set of springs (Eibach/H&R etc...) I'm running on Eibach Prokits/Tokico Blues and lovin it!!

I replaced the shocks in my 05 at around 44K miles I think. I too felt they were starting to go south (may or may not be true; who knows). I went with Koni yellows (about all that was available at the time; 12-06). I stuck with the OE springs and have about 25K miles on them now. It's worked out great, but if I were to spend that kind of money again, I'd just go with an A-spec suspension. It costs about the same as the Konis, and cheaper to install.

Thanks for the feedback!
