I'm not so sure about the longevity of painting the guards. They have way too slick of a surface. They'd have to scuff the surface pretty heavily just to prime them. If you wanted to get a job done that would make them last like having your bumpers painted, it would cost a whole lot more.

I'd do it if I had the time and provided that you could make the paint stick.

I'd love to paint mine but cost too much just to make the damn paint sticks.

I don't like it. Makes the mud guards stand out more. I like it when they blend with the tire and wheel well color better. Just my two cents.

I want to...but my friend who is working in an auto body shop suggest me not to. As it's not worth, paint won't stay well on mug guards.

I'd imagine that with all the rocks and stuff that come up from the road, the paint on the mudguards would get thrashed pretty quickly.

I see some pics of some tsx's that had theirs done....
Any feedback frm them?

i know that the smooth surfce of the flaps might be hard for the paint to stick, but i presume it can be primed so that the paint will stay on well enough, esp. with several layers of clearcoat.

I've seen people had painted plastic trim parts on cars before and they stayed on well...

The RL has painted splash guards and they hold up quite well.
