Anyone know what kind of car you would want after the TSX?

it's a car-drive it
test drove a 2010 Subaru Legacy 2.5GT Limited-very impressed AWD, turbo, 6MT, nav that also plays dvd's. Like how it shows what gear you are in on the instrument panel. Lots of power and it shifted very smoothly. the car listed for $34,405=they offered to sell it for $32,603

Oliver!!!
I would love to be able to afford an Audi RS6, but that's going to be a bit out of the range. Realistically, I've been thinking TL-S SH-AWD or an M3. Although by time I'm ready to get rid of the TSX, I'm sure there will be several new options out there.
Have you thought about an Evo?

I've been thinking about what new car i would want lately and honestly i can't think of anything. I think i want to stay with acura and kinda stay in the tsx price range. I was really interested in the RDX for a while and still kinda am, but they seen pretty pricey. My tsx has treated me so well i don't want to part with it.

I too like the Mazdaspeed3. It seems like it would be a hoot right out of the box and very useful also because of all the room. A3 is nice too, pricewise not so much

I'd want to get something that is a balance of fuel economy and fun.
It all depends on what I'm doing in the future. At this point, I have a very long commute (60 miles one way), so my biggest concern is fuel economy. Whatever I buy won't have a highway mileage rating lower than 30 MPG.
I've considered a Jetta TDI, or possibly the Lexux HS (but it's a bit pricey).
But...that's a long ways to come. I'm hoping to make it to 200k miles with the TSX. So far she's solid at 114k!

that's exactly why i still love my 6MT tsx so much and don't know what i would get next. i love the good fuel economy it gets when i baby it. yet if i want to open it up and rev the engine, it has that capability too. what else blends things together so well?

I wouldn't buy any new body style Acura. They're all ugly. If I ever sold the TSX I would get a WRX STI Hatchback or a lifted Tacoma. 4x4 is very handy in the 6-month-long BC winter.

I am with rogerPodacter. I have an 06 TSX and I love it. it has a nice balance for me. I was looking at an RDX but it will be more expensive then I am wanting to pay for a new model year. Also I get GREAT gas mileage and I really dont want to give that up. so until then I will keep driving my 06 TSX and looking longingly.

if i get my big physics job that i went to school for...vette Z06 used and I'll finance the lingenfelter twin turbo package at the point of sale with my bank...
if i dont get my big job...vette zo6 or mazdaspeed3...maybe evo MR or legacy gt who knows...all depends on which test drive makes my throat the most dry
and if i win the lottery, ariel atom hands down.

Im there right now. My '04 just got totaled. I was rear ended while i was waiting in line at a stop sign and i got sandwiched.
Ive decided to get another tsx with the insurance settlement. '05 this time. I loved that car.

I wish I could. My budget is whatever the insurance company gives me for my car and no more so its doubtful that it will be enough to buy an 06. There was an 05 around for a good price but it sold...
I have no idea what to get now

I have been in the VM/Audi scene for past 5 years and I can tell you it honestly depends on how you treat the car and who the previous owner/s were.
I just recently sold my car and the only reason I am getting an acura is because I need something to hold me off until September 2010.
Unless I wait 45-Days...I can put down 10cash on a 2007.5 A4. I kinda of need a car now tho for my job.
Here was my setup
Carbon Fiber VIS Invader Hood (Silver Painted) /Sparco Hood Pins
S4 Chrome Mirrors
15% Tints 360 Degrees
NeuSpeed Rear SwayBar
710N Diverter Valve
Borla Exhaust V1
Ecode Test Pipe
Turbo k03
CHIPPED GIAC
AutoMeter Pillar
VDO Oil Pressure Gauge
Cyberdyne Digital Air to Fuel Ratio
VDO Boost Gauge/IN vent with custom PLexxy Glass
Stock 16 inch Rims (With All Season Yokahoma Tires about 60% Tread left)
Zimmerman Rear Drilled Rotors/Mintex Brake Pads
Front Drilled/Slotted ECS Tuning Rotors/Hawk Street Performance Brake Pads
DeBadged
OEM S4 Xenon HEADLIGHTS "Clear Corner Mod" 4300K HID
Hella Micro Foglights
Alpine 9847 Headunit
(1) Kenwood AMP
APR SNUB MOUNT (Engine Mount/Front)
Greddy Turbo Timer
Rs4 Grille
Sports Suspension
034 Motorsports Coil Pack Cover

Not sure, but something with more utility would be nice. Would love an A3 Quattro TDI, but am scared of Audi reliability. CTS sportwagon maybe? GM scares me, too. It's a couple years away so there's still time. If all else fails, another TSX would be in the running as well.

I'd second that take, although my round trip communte is only about 50 miles. Just the same, MPG is very important to me and ultimately will limit my choices in spite of all the 2-dr coupe fun I want to have It seems that a lot of high-efficiency deisel options are on the horizon from Mercedes, BMW and even Honda (which may mean Acura too). If they equipped an AWD TL or even an RL with a high efficiency deisel that got 60 MPG highway that would get me to the dealership. Ouside that, I'm eager to see where BMW takes it - maybe a 1 or 3 series coupe that got 50+, that would be awesome. They already have the 335d, but it's $44K starting, and only 36 MPG (only 6 better than my TSX). Not enough to move me. 50+ might.
However, I'm finding that I really enjoy no car payment. This plus upcoming student loan payments (December 2010) are encouraging me (erm, force me) to stick with my TSX for a long while...lol.

I'd have to say a Honda S2000
Or the next 2G TSX that turns out to have the same impecible reliability as the 2006 1G
I like the VW Passat.. but I'd be leaving the realm of Honda reliability

I'll be driving my '07 until my back taxes are paid off -- probably 3-4 more years. At that point I hope to buy a new diesel/hybrid TSX, assuming that Acura has come to their senses and returned to the classic styling of the 1G TSX. The other car that has my complete attention right now is the Suzuki Kizashi.
