There was one on the lot when i test drove -- looks great with parchment (only interior selection i think)
Anywho -- I considered it as I love green as a color for cars, esp forest green. That being said, the color looked more Dark Gray than anything else -- think Anthracite. I love green, but it only looked green in direct sunlight and in the color swatch in the book. Otherwise, it looked much too gray for me.
I chose RBP bc when it wasn't blue, it was purple or black and that was a better alternative for me.
Bottom Line: Too Gray to be called Deep Green

They're extremely rare.
My accord is green...I would have gone for DGP if it had an ebony interior (accord has a light color similar to parchment, and it's so hard to keep clean...thus I wanted to avoid parchment in the TSX)

hmmm. i have one. i hope not the only one. the silver one was on the showroom floor and had miles. i took a walk back in the lot, they had black , white, and a green one with plastic still on it. i wanted a recently built one, and just traded in a black corolla which i hated to keep clean. i figured the black interior would be too hot in the summer, and i havent had a luxury car yet so i figured the parchment with wood looked sharp.

Sorry -- but I also have a DGP 06 TSX, so you're not alone. I had a green Subaru before this, but this is a very different, more subtle, green. The color does look grey under certain lighting conditions and almost blue under others. It's a great color.
I also wasn't crazy about the parchment interior at first and would have preferred something else. But it's grown on me. I like it now and have received many compliments on it.
I posted pix before, under Washing and Waxing. I'll try to find the thread.....

Keep an eye out for the current model Honda Odyssey's. There's a color called Sage Brush Pearl, and Odyssey's in that color are all over the place. It looks like metallic charcoal most of the time, but in the right lights you can see hints of green/teal/blue. MDX also has the same color, too. I wonder if the Sage Brush is similar to the TSX's DGP.

wow, this color is awesome
all of my previous cars were green (Clover Green Pearl)
i would really love to see a forest green TSX
how come this color does not sell much? is it the parchment interior alone?

I test-drove a 2006 DGP at Carmax in Laurel, MD while shopping for TSX's back in fall of 2009. I ultimately went with a 2005 PWP that was a better overall deal (was hesitant of white in the beginning but I love it), but the green was very compelling. It's definitely a rare color to see and worth getting if that's really the deciding factor.

Deep Green Pearl was the exact color I wanted because the dark green color (Clover Green Pearl) was something I loved about my old Civic- I know it's not nearly the same color but with green becoming increasingly rare (BMW has now restricted dark greens to the 7-Series and Mini, Porsche is phasing it out with new models, and Mercedes has dropped it. JLR is the last automaker to still offer it fairly consistently), I was excited about the prospect of anything close.
But, since I was buying used in a market that doesn't see a lot of Acuras, I had to buy what was available, and that was NBP over Parchment. The plood's not my favorite and neither is the NBP, but both have grown on me with time.

I hope to see pictures too. I would have gotten that color, but my current car at the time was green, so I wanted something different. Unfortunately, although my salesperson was trying to get me to buy a rarer color, I unknowingly went with the most popular color....

The Deep Green Pearl is a difficult color to capture accurately as it has a chameleon-like character, shifting from green to purple to gray depending on the viewing angle & time of day. It's green base coat contains tiny metallic flecks of silver, turquoise, and magenta.
My first TSX was a metallic gray '04 and I soon tired of seeing myself coming and going... had I waited a while longer to buy instead of when they first came out I would have chosen a rarer color and gone with a lighter interior as black gets old after a while.
When I decided to get a newer model I was looking for a white '06-'08 as I think that color is the most flattering of the lines of the first gen TSX. However once I saw and drove my DGP I was smitten, and have really enjoyed the rare and beautiful green exterior paired with the Parchment leather. I added a set of jaspe Cocomats to accent the tan, brown, and black interior colors and give the interior some "snap."
My attempts to upload a picture today have not been very succesful so I'll give it a try when the connection is better.
