Anyone blacked out the chrome border around the windows?

I saw a really nice looking CGP with blacked out chrome borders. I think he sprayed a matte black paint over it because i saw some chipping. I think I saw someone use a certain type of tape for the effect but i don't know if it was regular tape or a special type.

Have you got a link to the exact page where they are sold or can you provide the specific name to search for? I can't find them on HeelToe.

looks better with the black.. don't like the chrome on the tsx.. would be better if the grill wasn't chrome also.

door handle isn't too bad. gives it a little more of a sleek look but the rest should be colored black

the alternative way to do this converision is to use black tape. I know tsx.fury blacked the chrome when he had his car not sure if he used tape or just changed the whole thing.

went to walmart to check out some tapes. the only black tape they had were electrical tape. i checked ebay and found some skate/hockey tape but i dont' think they would stick very well although i've never seen/used the skate/hockey tape.

you could probably just remove the chrome molding. take a scotch pad and scuff it up really good. then paint it black. it'd be alot of work involved, but it would probably be very similar to when I painted the insides of my civic headlights.

Hmm...tempted. Curious as to how long it would hold up throughout the weather.

Was this car done with the HeelToe kit? I followed the thread to the site, but I can't seem to find the kit. I'd really like to get rid of the chrome.

Thanks,

Tony

looks sexy. I've never been a fan of chrome...although the chrome in the TSX isn't too bad. I think it looks a little classy

yeah, i actually like the chrome. I think it gives it a more luxury look to set it apart from the honda line.

I no longer have the tape on since I have the polished wheels I think the chrome looks good but with the revamped design of the car I am thinking of I might get the JDM black trim.

^ That Euro-R grill looks like it has perfect fitment... From what I've seen so far the Euro-R's are a bit off.
