so does that mean TSX's engine breaks easier than the S2000 if rev'd too high? i'm a noob on this, but why would they make the strokes longer? what are the benefits and downsides to that?

Longer stroke = more torque
The downside is that the piston has to travel faster for each revolution of the engine so without using exotic it can't be revved as high as a shorter stroke engine.

I don't think that is correct. I get the average pistion speed of a S2000 (F20C) to work out to be 25.2m/s, a S2200 (F22C) to be 24.8m/s, and the TSX's engine to be 23.4 m/s. I'm not saying there is a lot of room for improvement on the TSX though, because I realize its engine materials might not be as good as what you'll find in the F20C.
