I got intimidated by another TSX owner

Friday night, I went to Woodfield Mall with my girl to do some shopping and eating. We took the TSX. We ate at Todai buffet and went shopping....then headed to Streets of Woodfield TO Gameworks to play some videogames around 9:30PM.

We left Gameworks around 11:45PM, get in the car and turn right on Frontage Rd. to get onto 290. On Frontage I stop at the light at the Woodfield Rd intersection. Then another TSX pulls up besides mines. It was either a black or a carbon grey color, it was hard to see at night, but I looked at the rims and saw the inside of the car and knew it was a TSX. Then this moron starts revving on me!

My gf didn't want me to race, but I felt like teaching this guy a lesson. When the light green I floored it and my car shifted very hard between 3rd and 4th gears.....tranny must be slipping. He was left in the dust, but it wasn't over yet! I slowed down on 290 because I didn't want to scare my girl and I wanted to stay within the speed limit. Then I see these really bright lights behind me. It was the moron intimidating me again! He flashed his high beams and did a ricer fly by. He scared me and my girl! I hate people who do this and I hate ppl who act like ricers!

Edit: I don't understand why he would want to put me in danger, what was this person thinking?

wasn't me...otherwise you would've seen the tailights on my 03 TL-S haha, jk...sorta. anyway, yea man, those idiots who obviously lose at the start then pass you up after you've already slowed down are just dumb. what kinda pleasure do you get in doing that anyway? i mean, is there any kinda satisfaction in knowing that you passed up a car, not even beat a car, but passed up a car that has already slowed down? just stupid.

It happened on Friday night.

I think it was some punk kid, who just got the car and was just showing it off....but why a show off in TSX?

Mang, I still wish I am in Chicago, but now, its back to classes for me.

Did you read post? I did not race him. He revved on me and I just floored my car and got on the expressway. By the time I am on the expressway I was traveling around 65 mph. He then comes flashing his high beams and does a ricer fly by on me. No way am I going to put my life or my gf's life in danger because some idiot wants to show off his new ride.

"My gf didn't want me to race, but I felt like teaching this guy a lesson. When the light green I floored it and my car shifted very hard between 3rd and 4th gears....."

From your post it would seem that not racing would be merely semantic, if you are beside someone who wants to "race" and you floor it at the light and are still accelerating hard into 4th gear, it seems to defy logic that you were not racing, I am pretty sure most people including cops who witnessed what you described would conclude it was a "race". I would also point out YOU are also culpable for your lives being in danger, had you not decided to "teach him a lesson" the following events would likely not have taken place.

to LOL888: As for racing the exact same car, it actually makes MORE sense than not. This will come closer to showing who is the best DRIVER not just who ponied up enough cash to have a faster car, a true driver's race. My greatest satisfactions at the "strip" have been when I beat a car like mine if they were both stock, very similar to the feeling I get when I win bracket racing, both are situations where I did more than the car to win.

that wasn't me either dude, i was in the boonies in the bourbonais area visiting relatives.

man, you should buy that G35 sedan/coupe and show that ricer again. the G35 would kiss some major butt.

hey gfxdave i did see a guy driving in a Cg TSX on Fri, but it couldn't be you cause it was some old bald guy driving it with the sunroof open. j/k man.

but, once when i was still driving the 99 Accord Ex 4 cyl 4 dr a few yrs ago, some teen in 98-02 Accord Lx 4 cyl 4 dr was racing me because i needed to merge and he wouldn't let me. i think the Lx won because he is lighter than me, due to no sunroof in the Lx.

ricer fly-by = when someone you just passed (regardless of whether racing or not) makes a high-speed pass of your car, which has already slowed to normal or near normal speed, with his hazards blinking

The point of this thread was to tell of an experience with a moronic little kid who obviously hasn't matured enough to deserve the TSX. Not all threads need a specific purpose. That's why there are PWing threads.

Because if the cars are the same, then it's purely a question of which driver has the larger penis.

Yeah, nothing like a factual sig with a Yugo and an Aztec mixed in with a couple of Ferraris for good measure. I guess I should fess up: the TSX is my wife's car, I really drive a Kia and my unborn son drives the Bentley. My bad.

Friday night.... hmm Oh I was in the city playing poker

So still wasnt me

I think the point of this thread is to comment on some of the plain stupid people out there that have these stupid inflated egos that make them pull stupid shit.

And racing the same car is kind of fun because then you can race based on skill.

That's funny, I was playing in a game on Wednesday night, and I hosted a game Sat. night. Where do you live in the city? This thread deserves to be hijacked. PW on!
