Another newbie question

I picked up my CG/Ebony, 5AT, Navi on Friday (after waiting for one month for them to find one for me) and have been searching through several threads on this site. I am still confused, however, about modding the nav. system to play dvd's. This seems to be a fairly complicated process and I assumed it would be a lot simpler b/c of the fact that the TSX has a dvd drive in the trunk. Can you play a regular dvd in the place of the navi dvd and just lose the navi capabilities for that time? I'm sorry if this is such a FAQ, but I figured someone could answer this question fairly quickly since I am new to the TSX club and this site. Thanks.

Pete

^^ Sorry Pete, it can't be done with the factory Nav DVD rom.

You can get a Navi hack module though. This will let you hook up anything with an RCA output up to the screen.

The DVD drive in the trunk is a DVD-ROM (data) drive and is not capable of outputting video.
