This is certainly encouraging that the 6MT is popular here! Over the years, it seems that MT's have become unavailable or really scarce for some models. For the life of me, I can't imagine the TSX being a success without appealing to the diehard enthusiasts--the MT driver.
It's also interesting that the new Corvette's standard tranny is now MT. Since 1980 up to 2003, the Corvette's standard tranny was automatic with the MT being an option, believe it or not! Maybe Chevy has decided to get serious about about their ancient "sports car". Let's hope they get really serious about offering a decent smooth shifting MT--not that I'd ever be interested in a Corvette. The domestic makes have had crude MTs--no wonder people have been flocking to ATs!

New 6MT owner here.
This is my first car w/a manual tranny, and I also learned on this car, and still am learning.. Sometimes I "think" that I regret getting a MT because I miss getting to relax and drive w/my previous AT accord hehe, but then I'm like naaaa!! hehe, im sure once I get more experience driving stick-shift, i'll enjoy it more and more..

I wonder how many people bought 6MT rather than AT after reading the sheer enthusiasm of MT fans, such as on this message thread! Some people must have been on the fence before they ordered their TSX. And, unfortunately, some who bought AT have regretted it, while others are quite happy or get very defensive about AT.
