Cool Air Scoop on 2006 TSX

Hi!

I just bought a 2006 Acura TSX in Carbon Grey.

I was hoping someone could recommend something for me. The area on the lower front bumper, directly under the Acura emblem is fairly open. Mostly I guess for air flow in to the engine. I would like to put some type of chrome or silver mesh screen there. I have seen this in some of the pictures of full blown body kits. Can anyone make a suggestion?

I've reformatted your post so it is readable. Please make sure to excercise restraint when using such large font in the future. Now, any more comments, please just stick to the topic.

I wouldn't do chrome anything, but that's just me. On my old Bomex Integra I took some regular window/patio screening material, sanded, primered and painted the same color as my car (satin silver metallic). Then adhered it over the grilles with silicone caulk. Made it look real clean and not as aggressive from a distance. I actually loved the way it looked. They also have stainless steel screens with similar (and different) mesh design/patterns online. Google mesh screen and browse sites for it. I bought some SS screen/mesh but sold the car before I could put it on.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Talking air scoop

Thanks for modifying the font size Reach.

I would not want to open the area up. I would need to bust up the plastic to do it.

Are there any aftermarket pieces that would fit? or has anyone that did this taken the manual route?

title says air scoop, but it seems the post is about creating a mesh grille?

As for aftermarket pieces, I don't think there's any actually designed for our car. You'd have to make it on your own...
