Air Filter + Cabin Filter replacement

Just put my car in for "A12 Service" and they said I need (on top of the oil change):
- $50 - Air Filter
- $99 - Cabin Filter

I asked them to hold off on those two filters for now.

I figured I can get them cheaper elsewhere, but.. where? Air Filters are fairly easy, but not sure where to find or how to replace the cabin filter (or what it is?)

Thanks so much for any help!
Regards,
Dimitry

P.S. It's a 2006 TSX

There's been a few threads on this recently. The cabin air filter is directly behind the glove box. Cheapest cabin air filter I've found is about $30. How many miles do you have and what kind of environment do you drive in? Is it smoggy, dusty, etc?

Cool, I'll search around.

Car is at 28,900 miles and my commute now is 1.1 miles to work, so I barely drive, but it's mostly city driving (just moved to Pittsburgh, PA).

Was thinking of selling the car b/c of how small the commute it and how rarely I drive now. But I love the TSX.

cabin air filter shouldn't be more that $35 by itself. the diy is a few simple steps and should only take up a max of 3 min. ignore that $99

I dont know about cabin filter my friend, but I am sure u can get motor air filter for around/under $20 and change it yourself easily. I bought K&N and this thing is way better.

Walmart has the Air Filter (FRAM) for $14.XX after tax, picked up one a week ago. I was in a rush and forgot about the Cabin Filter.

air filter

you cna get the air cabin filter online many places.. I just replaced mine after 2 years ( a bit late!!) it was pretty dirty. It is very easy to change and should be under $30. just google it.
The engine air filter is avaible anywhere and a K&N is a great investment..

Glad you found it. You can get the Acura cabin air filter online (a European-made micronAir filter) for < $30, a Honda filter (US-made micronAir) for the 2006 Accord will run you < $25 (dealer price) if you shop online, and if you shop for some of the aftermarket filters, you should get it for < $20.

The instructions for both are in the 2004 OM (online), maintenance section (p. 261? how do I remember that?). The engine air cleaner filter is a piece of cake. Time yourself, see which you can do faster after a little practice.
