After hondata Reflash

Is hondata reflash for people who rev from 5k to redline alot only.

Because I drive alot below 3.5K.

Is there any significant gains to it too?

Thanks

You do feel the difference when you hit the vtec for 04 around 5k- redline 7600
Theres more power in the lowband.

Mt would gain the most out of it but for autos its still a night and day experience. I feel.

Take a look at the dynos posted for the AT. Yes, the biggest bump is at 6000rpm but there is imprevement throughout the rev range. You can definitely feel it at lower rpms as well.

at the ronjon meet i took 4 grown males in my car and was still pulling after 5000 rpms so that gives you a nice impression when 4 guys weighing the car down and the car can still pull.

Anecdotally, guys, how's your mileage after the reflash? I would presume that with the vTec kicking in at a lower RPM, (and therefore, hypothetically, more often during "normal" driving), the reflashed engine's MPG would suffer a wee bit. Am I wrong?

From my experience the reflash has absolutely no negative effect on fuel economy. In fact, if I'm conscious of fuel economy when I'm driving then I might even get a smidge of improvement. This is keeping my AT in auto mode (not SS), not flooring it from stoplights and stop signs. The tranny usually upshifts at around 3K rpm or less under these conditions.

^^ can you be more specific about which inspections you're concerned about. Per the link I provided earlier:

Unless the dealer knows what he is looking for it will be transparent to any service that they are performing. The dealer will have to rev your engine and listen for the earlier Vtec transition or pull the ECU data for maximum rpm attained and notice that it is in excess of standard fuel cutoff.
