Question Adjusting angle of Xenon Headlight

Hi all,

I have an Australian TSX with Xenon lights. The driver side head unit was changed due to condensation, when i got it back from the dealer the lowbeam angle was set a little high, but I could leave with it.

I have now noticed that it has been creeping higher and higher, I now constantly have on comming traffic beaming me.

How can i adjust the angle of the xenon lowbeam?

The owner manual advises to bring it back to the dealer to do this.

Any help will be great.

It shouldn't creep upwards on you so there might be something loose. It might be best to take it in to your dealer, but in the mean time, here's the instructions on adjusting the aim:

You should take it back to the dealer, so they will fix/adjust it under warranty. If you start adjusting it they might charge you and say you screwed up the HIDs.

Dan,

Thank for the pics, but i can't find the up and down adjuster.
I can only find the left and right adjuster.

I do see the up and down instruction on the plastic parts, but when looking into the wholes there are no adjuster.

Maybe the Australian headlight unit are differents

Viking,

This adjustment has been done over 6 month ago, i just lived with the higher angle.
But now i feel kinda bad for the on comming traffic.

To give you an idea how high the right side is, I can see street sign reflected back a good 300 meters away.

And since its been so long since the dealer changed over the head unit, they will probably charge me anyways

The adjuster doesn't look like much, it's just a gear that you use a philips (star) screwdriver to turn. Have another look...

If there's only a hole and nothing in the adjuster, chances are maybe the dealer forgot to put the adjuster back into there and it's now just running loose. Hence the reason why it's getting higher and higher.
