...hey gang, I was reading the thread about re-badging Acuras as Hondas, and mentioned it to one of the top guys at the dealership here, he said it will be interesting to see what people do as the Acura name is going to be introduced and marketed outside of the North American market in the near future. The plan is to have all "basic" cars, like Civics, Accords, Odysseys, CRV's, Pilots, etc. sold under the Honda name, with any performance and highend luxury cars like the TSX, TL, RSX, RL, MDX, NSX sold under the Acura name. I don't know what they'll do with the S2000 under such a plan, but it will be interesting to see if this does happen. He said it is part of an overhaul of the way Honda markets worldwide in order to compete more effectively. So some of those re-badging efforts will, in the end, be correct, others will be bogus for sure...stay tuned...

edit: I love my newly acquired TSX too.

I had a 1991 Prelude that I traded in for my TSX. I might be driving another Lude now if they still made them.
