Acura logo pin-stripe?

A few years back when I purchased my Accord coupe some Accords showed up around town with a small twin pinstripe that ended in a Honda logo. I figured this was a dealer add-on.

My question is, I've looked on the net (with out much luck) I'd like to find the same pinstripe for the TSX a small twin line thin stripe that would finish with a small Acura logo near the trunk.

I'm not usually a pin stripe fan but Jeff's TSX on VTEC.net has a small stripe and I really like the effect.

hmm... another pinstripe thread huh...

good luck finding the source for that pinstrip with logo. I haven't seen any TSX with pinstripe in my area... and I'd give to pinstripe on TSX logo or no logo.

OK, they don't look bad, quite nicely done in fact.

However, I don't think it really adds anything to the already nice looking lines of the TSX... so why do it?

EDIT: hey, now the pictures show up in the previous posts... what the hell?!?

Why do it? One more thing to make your TSX a bit more unique. Here in Chicago TSX's a dime a dozen, I can see 3-4 on any given drive to work. If I didn't have out of state plates in IL I might not find the car at the grocery store, well maybe not that bad...but.....

If ours was a CG I'd really have one, I think Honda JP Co. got a discount on buying that color in bulk from PPG.

Pinstriping is chump change vs. the cost of wheels and tires.

Cool

IMO, pinstriping is nothing more than a simple way of adding to profits (and likely the brainchild of some car dealership/salesman). I've yet to see any pinstriping job that really adds to the look of a car.

I've never had it done by a dealer I always get mine done by folks that only do stripes on the side. I'd love to find a hand layed "paint" pinstripe artist in this area but I don't any in Chitown I'm sure the local hot rod shops use them.

A good hand layed stripe is awesome. It's almost a dead art, most folks don't get good pinstripes anymore. I have a black company car that could really use an eye catching stripe.

Chad, if you're interested in pinstriping, you can just get any good pinstriper in the area to do it for you. The dealers do the same thing. They just hire a local shop or individual to do the pinstriping.

Well, the car is a new '05, it's free and so too is the gas and mileage and maintnence. I think a stripe would do plenty :P

Please don't cheapen the Acura name by doing this.

It's a slippery slope from pin-stripe to wooden side panels.

Real wooden side panels are cool but way to pricey, no the TSX would need the vinyl decal kind like you see on PT cruisers, now that would be hot!

I'm pretty sure a pin stripe (as seen above) will do nothing of the such to the TSX. I'd first go find the homies running 19-20" chrome spinners or Daytons on a TSX I'm sure that combined with some killer larger big mouth body kit and wing is already in the works for a Tsx's demise somewhere in this country.
