well if you over 25 years old.. you will get EL for loaner.. if not over 25.. my experience was a Hyundai Accent 3 door coupe(from enterprice). forget the TL... don;t even think about they will give you a TSX loaner.

At my local dealer (Whitehall, PA), they provide a loaner car that is equal to the one you purchased from them, assuming you are 18 or older. I am 19, and when I took my TSX for service, I got a brand new TSX to drive around. They purchase 8 cars a year, brand new, just to use as loaners. Very nice.

Well, you'll just have to wait until you're old enough to deserve a loaner!

Whoa, whoa, whoa. EL's? A level below your model????
I took in my TSX to the dealership once because of the center console, and twice because of tranny issues, and I was never offered a car below the TSX level.

Its an Acura car offered in Canada, which I believe is just a stepped up civic? I have only seen a few in the states and they looked like the previous model 4 door civics.
My dealership (DCH Monteclair Acura in NJ) has an age restriction of 21, but they do offer the TL as a loaner. I couldn't get it last time because they only have 1, but its available.

I have had two loaners when the TSX has been in.
The first was an '03 TL automatic.
The second, which actually lasted about three days, was an '04 TL with about 3000 miles on it.
I guess it pays to be 35.

When I owned an Infiniti, they loaned you out the car above what you owned. I guess they look at it as a sales tool to help sell you your next car. Unfortunately I discovered I did not have any headroom in the G35, which helped lead me to the TSX.

The loaner desicions are based on each independent dealer, as they are owned seperately.
Many dealers here in so cal, do not offer loaners.
Pasedena Acura which does, and has an excellent service dept from my dealings. I have a 99 CL. They gave me a brand new TSX for 2 days. Very smart move on their part. Had me looking at getting into for months, which was their whole point. Needless to say I ahve stuck with my CL.
I also believe they have some 04 TLs as loaners now.
No manual loaners, like you cant really find manual rentals.

What services are you getting that require a loaner?
So I'm just wondering what kind of services you are all getting that require a loaner...
*simple oil change?
*scheduled maintenance?
*repairs?
The reason I ask, is because my dealership in Illinois NEVER has loaners. EVER. I mean, they do have loaners (RSXs only I believe), but they are never available.
Now maybe I'm less tolerant than others, but shouldn't loaners be reserved for repairs or major maintenance? Not just simple oil changes?
My dealer is always reluctant to give out loaners, in fact, at each oil change/scheduled maintenance I've had, they drive me back to work and pick me back up when the car is done. I don't mind it at all.
What does drive me crazy is thinking that there are drivers out there who demand loaner cars for simple oil changes. I'm p.o.'d because my A/C has gone out twice in the past week and while they worked on it the first time they had to get me a rental car. Their loaners are backed up for 4 weeks. 4 weeks? That's a lot of service being done.
Guess I'm just a bit ticked that I have to drive around in a p.o.s. rental when I have a serious repair being done and knowing that loaners ARE there, just never available.
Oh well, I'm more pissed that my A/C still doesn't work! Thank god it's not hot out this month!

A loaner most likely will not be available if you just come in for servcie. I order to guarantee getting one you need to reserve ahead of time and schedule a service for a day when a loaner is available. I also think you won't get a loaner if its in for service for a short time (i.e. oil change or minor service), although this may be dealer dependent. Mind you that I'm just guessing since I haven't actually had a loaner yet.

I used that Neon to teach niece driving

My dealer loans me a TSX when my car is in for service. I only request a loaner if the appointment will take more than an hour and i have to be somewhere. I've never asked if I can get a TL, I'm just grateful I get a TSX to drive and get my work done. I think it differs from dealer to dealer...some dealers have contracts with rental companies to save money, others have courtesy shuttles, others use used cars they can't sell and the best of course use cars from their own brand(s). I've seen all types.

Funny about no manuals (makes sense of course, since everyone can drive AT and they have to loan to both MT and AT drivers).
My friend got an Audi A4 Quattro 6MT this year. When he's been in to service at the Audi dealer they give him a A4 with 6MT as a loaner. I guess it's fitting, considering in the end, he'll probably be in the loaner just as much as his own car.

My dealer always has plenty of loaners -- a mix of RSXs, Civics and Accords. I've used a loaner 3-4 times and it's always been an RSX. In each case, I had called ahead to schedule an appointment.
They actually offer me a loaner when I go in for oil changes, but I always just hang out in the service area.

I got a loaner when my TSX was in for warranty service (they had to re-set the windshield to avoid the dreeded creaks but that is another story). I have a meteor silver TSX and the loaner was the same. Only difference was that it did not have Naxi. When I picked my son up at school I told him someone stole the Navi! He believed me - at least for a few seconds!
