Acura care

Hey can any of yall explain how acura care works?
Do they give you free roadside assistance or do you have to pay?
I could have sworn my dealer said free.
cause i have a friend with a 2 year old rsx and she says she had to pay.
So if this is the case im going to get me AAA.

I've contacted Acura for the same question. Acura said the roadside assistant is free for the duration of the warranty of the car.

I just canceled my AAA membership after purchased TSX. I figure I don't need it for a while. JTso was right, the roadside assistant should be free for the duration of the warranty of the car. This is exactly what the dealer said in the clinic. The clinic held once a month and invite all the new owners to attend. Basically just introduce their service and body shop departments plus some tips for driving and maintenance.

Free Roadside assistance is only available during the first three years you own your car.

We have the Hondacare on the Odyssey (bought it because I heard the stories about the transmissions and the power doors) and it covers free roadside asistance out to 100,000 miles.

My experience with the Volvo "free" roadside assistance was that it was less than useless, so we still have AAA. At least they show up, eventually.

According to "Owner's Guide to Acura Total Luxury Care", one of the booklets we received when purchased the car, section Acura Roadside Assistance, it said the following in the first paragraph:

Acura Roadside Assistance is a 24-hour nationwide emergency road service that includes special features such as Acura Concierge Service, a source of special travel benefits available to you throughout the term of your 4-year/50,000-mile Acura warranty. The Acura Roadside Assitance program is furnished at no additional cost to you.

I cannot find three years anywhere in the brochure. Is the dealer told you so or ...?

From what I have learned from my dealer clinic, sounds like they provide pretty good service for the roadside assistance. I think due to all warranty or service is performed by nearest Acura Dealership, if not you have to submit claims for warranty reimbursement to your Acura Dealer, the service experience is totally base on the nearest dealer. If the dealer is rated poor and you are in the area with problem, I think that might explain your cost. Just my own opinions.

As bob shiftright, to make you feel more peace of mind, of course, you could still keep your AAA membership. This way you have a backup in case one does not work out. Backup is always a good idea.

I read the "for the first 3 years you own your car" right off the TSX brochure. My brochure is for the Canadian TSX so yours might be different.

Mine is for US. So, I see! Wonder what else is different between US and Canada?
